Hi guys! I'm getting married next year, and I'm starting to plan the wedding party. I have 4 younger siblings. At the time of the wedding they will be girl 12 (almost 13), girl 9, girl 9, boy 8. My fiance has said he would like my brother on his side with his adult brothers. Before including my young siblings, we planned 4 bridesmaids/groomsmen on either side. I'm worried about having an odd and different number with the symmetry of the pictures. We also discussed doing 6 on each side total (3 bridesmaids + 3 jr. bridesmaids, 5 groomsmen + 1 jr. groomsmen). However, I'm worried about symmetry of this as well due to the height differences. Does anyone have any ideas on how to make this work, or include them in the wedding party in a way that will make this work? Thank you!

My advice would be stop thinking about symmetry. Any good photographer will be able to balance a photo. What if you get everything planned and someone drops out? Are you going to replace them with a similar sized person? Then you're just treating people like a prop or part of the decor.

Attendants are supposed to be the people you love and want to honor with a place beside you. The photographer can work out how to balance the pictures.

Symmetry doesn't really matter, it's more so about honoring the people who are meaningful to you. When they walk down the aisle, maybe have all of the juniors go together? That way they can also have their moment to shine.
