I love the research of the 5 love languages. It’s a good thing to be aware of.

I'm all for knowing your and your partner's love languages, by why two posts in a row about the exact same thing?

She probably didn't realize the other post went through. Sometimes when I post, I don't always see it right away making me think it didn't actually post.

Both myself and fiancé have read this book. It’s helped us through some struggles and helped us communicate better. I feel as if we can communicated with each other better. He refers to my love languages when he’s doing something thoughtful and it feel amazing that he understands me better.

My hubby read the book before we met and we took the quiz together! It really helps because we share our #1 but have very different #2s. For example, my #2 is Acts of Service. I’d get mad when I’d do stuff around the house for him and he didn’t appreciate it (it’s just not that important to him). But I swoon when he helps me!

Haven’t read it but heard of it and read more about which love language is ours. I think it’s a nice concept, it helps couples appreciate acts of kindness and not build resentment when it doesn’t match their own.

Haven’t read this one yet...it’s on my list. The same author wrote another book called “Things I’d wish I’d know before marriage” and it was great!!

Yes! so insightful, it changed FH's and I's relationship so much. We both have drastically different love languages so it helps to understand each other so much better.

I have it, but haven't read it yet and really looking forward to discovering what our love languages are!

We were given "things I wish I'd known before we got married" by Gary Chapman and it was a great quick/easy read. I just finished it and will have my fiance read it next. I didn't 100% relate with everything and I know he won't either, but I took away a lot of valuable advice/information.

It's not like a Bible of relationships, but it is incredibly helpful. I recommend it as well.

Our counselor recommended this too! We each bought our own and annotated them as we went. Afterwards we switched and we had so many of the same comments it made us laugh. It’s a very good book th
