Would you rather... invite 30 guests or 300?

I'm having 35 guests (including Fh and myself). We were initially looking at an 80 count guest list. Absolutely ridiculous when we thought about it. We barely see any of those people, most of them we haven't seen them in YEARS. We have two kids, we aren't made of money, we just had to do what was best for us. And once we drastically cut our guest list down and changed the venue, that's when we got excited. We only want the closest around us. We already know some people will be offended, and we accept that... but, we're the ones getting married, and they will have to understand that not only do we have space limitations, but we have a budget we need to stick to. We're paying for everything ourselves.

Definitely 30, more intimate and the people you really care about will be there!

Definitely 30. I recently attended a wedding with over 300 guests and it just seems so overwhelming and like it would be so difficult to make your rounds and get a chance to talk to everyone. I'd rather an intimate wedding where I can interact with everyone who is there

I’d want 300. We went to a small college and we played sports growing up all through college. We are fortunate enough to have friends and old teammates who we consider family so I couldn’t imagine not having them there on our special day. Speaking of guest lists...ours is at 284 😅

We had originally only wanted to invite 30, and I was fine with that. But, extended family had to be invited, people needed their +1s, and apparently the only kids I cant ban are my cousins preteen kids lol

I have a big family so it would be too difficult to keep it small. Go big for sure!

30 for sure. I'm not even close with my immediate family let alone distant family or people/friends I knew from school.

I'm actually having a 30 guests brunch wedding, trying to spend a few moments with each guest, we only have 4 tables so we will be going table by table to greet everyone, talk and take pictures. Something intimate
