I was actually just thinking about our menu today! We are having plated meals with the options of lollipop lamb chops, marinated chicken and a vegan option. Everyone has begun to submit their RSVP and I have noticed my whole moms side of the family picked marinated chicken except literally one cousin. I didn't understand why but a friend of mine noticed her SO also picked chicken and his reasoning was he had never tried lamb. I didn't think about that when choosing our meals but either way I am happy with what we went with because lamb is our favorite!

We opted to do a buffet. We are doing this because we are getting married in Jamaica and it was soooo hard to choose only 2 meats. So now we will have oxtails, jerk chicken, jerk pork and Red snapper

as mains with 5 sides, salads, soup and bread display. cost a little more but worth it.

    I can't wait!!!!!!!!!!

The one thing we've thought about since early stages of our wedding planning is our meal - LOL... I know crazy. But we always envisioned a sunrise wedding followed by a brunch reception with Lobster / crab omelettes and crepes. When we found our venue and saw their brunch menu, we knew we picked the right place. It literally had everything we wanted and envisioned from the start.

We are doing tacos with chips, salsa and queso! Our signature drink is a margarita! A small local Mexican restaurant is catering it!

Our rehearsal dinner will be in the private room at a local steakhouse. We're still nailing down the menu, but it'll most likely be something like 2 appetizer choices, a beef/fish/vegetarian main with communal sides, and either a cake from a local bakery or 2 dessert choices from the restaurant. The cocktail hour will be normal passed hor d'ourves and the reception will be a plated dinner with a salad, beef/fish/vegetarian main choices, and a cake with a dessert table. Then we'll have late night breakfast later in the reception!

We aren't doing a signature drink, but I want to have lemonade and sweet tea (both non-alcoholic and spiked) put out for the ceremony, along with water, since it'll be outside in June and that will bring a bit of my southern heritage into our northern wedding!

Ah i think when my husband and i were planning our wedding we were most into the food aspect. to me, if i was paying so much money for food i'd want it to be good. originally we were going with a caterer that was economical but wasn't a fan of the food so we nixed that idea and went with something twice as much but was far better food and that's something people to this day still remember about my wedding and that's what i'm most happy about aha. food brings people together. one of the things we did for food was we upgraded the menu to include duck. that was a premium item and we just knew when we tried it that we had to have it replace the terrible chicken we ate. it was a fantastic choice i think that was the favorite entree of the night.

We got married on a vineyard, so we really focused on wine options for our bar. I am a huge wine lover, so our wine tasting was a lot of fun during the planning stage Smiley laugh . We also offered a craft beer and a lighter beer. Those options fit us more than signature cocktails, as neither of us are big liquor drinkers.

For our food, we did "swanky tacos"! We both LOVE tacos so we came up with swanky taco recipes with our catering chef. It was a super fun way to really put our special touch on our reception.

Our wedding is at a winery, so our bar is wine and beer. Though we'll also be creating a signature sangria to serve. For our food, we're doing BBQ from one of our favorite local restaurants. For apps, we'll be serving meatballs, burnt end toasted ravioli, and falafel bites. We're then going to have a plated salad and buffet of pulled chicken, pulled pork, baked beans, mac and cheese, and potatoes. The mac and cheese is actually called White Cheddar Cracker Mac and OMG it's the best. I can't wait!

We don't know what we want to do for dessert but we're thinking of doing soft pretzels and cheese for a late night snack.

I know I'm a little late but if we go with the venue we have in mind, our menu will consist of appetizers, caesar salad, chicken & waffles, skirt steak topped with a housed made chimichurri sauce and salmon. Side dishes will be truffle mashed potatoes and sautéed broccolini and we'll have a dessert station as well!

If we're able to do signature drinks, ours will be our favorite drinks from the Carnival Cruise. Mine will be their Kiss on the Lips which I will rename "Oh, Schnapp" and FH's will be The Punchliner which he will rename "Mai Guy".
