Williams Sonoma Registry

Has anyone experienced awful service with your Williams Sonoma registry? It is feeling like a huge scam- We made a few returns of duplicate items and they require that in store returns be processed through corporate and they will mail gift cards . We made the returns in April and I still haven't received the gift cards. I was told three different delivery dates and was also told that the registry return experienced a "glitch" at some point in May. I would warn anyone who is going to register with WS to be prepared for a headache!

    I bought something off a w-s registry and I had the worst time! I tried to cancel my order like 3 minutes after I placed it because I found a coupon. They told me I couldn't cancel until it was processed. Fine no big deal. I called once it was processed and they said they can't cancel it because it was already processed. I said I just want to have the coupon applied... No can't do that. Then half the order was on back-order and I didn't wan to give half a gift. They couldn't cancel the back-ordered half I had to wait for it to be shipped to me. Then I went to the store to bring the first part of the gift back... well that was another disaster. They kept saying they would give me a store credit and explained about the processing center having to mail the gift card. I was like no I want my money back. Somehow in the process they made a registry FOR ME! I finally was able to get my money back and somehow cancel the back-order, but none of the items went back on the persons registry as being available!


    I spent about 1.5 hours on the phone and a good 45 minutes in the store and talked to 4 different "managers". I will never shop a WS again it just seemed like a disaster and totally unprofessional.

    I’m so sorry you’re experiencing that! We went through a crate & Barrel and they have been amazing. I know the stores sell a lot of the same/similar stuff, would you be able to switch most of the stuff to a different store?

    I walked into a C&B in IL after our shower with a few larger items that I was planning to return and purchase closer to home (we live in MA). They ended up offering to ship EVERYTHING (even the stuff I was planning on putting in my bag) directly to our home at no charge!! So amazing!

    We experienced our worst nightmare from William Sonoma. We had to return duplicates off our registry, brought them to their Oak brook IL store and asked that they ensure that none of our guests who gifted the items were notified of the return- a simple request given it was a gift from a registry. A week later my friend texted me that she received a merchandise credit from our wedding gift. I AM MORTIFIED. The worst part? WIlliam Sonoma did NOTHING. I called, asked them to fix this horrible problem they caused, and when they said they cancel all the merchandise credits that they sent out, which is a terrible solution because the damage is done. I am still waiting for a manager to call me back after the customer service rep, Lisa, told me this is what you get. They are a total scam. SAVE YOURSELF THE EMBARRASSMENT! DO NOT REGISTER AT WILLIAM SONOMA!

    Williams Sonoma registry is the worst!!!!! We got married 3 months ago and the Customer Service has been horrible!!!! It took 2 hours to return 5 items in store because they said it is a manual process. On top of that 2 items were damaged when I received it. They then were supposed to send me a replacement and sent me the wrong item. My friend got me coasters for my bridal shower but it was backordered. I was wondering when they were going to arrive so I looked back on the website and it said no longer available... They didn’t even tell my friend who bought them or me - they just took her money and didn’t deliver anything... There’s been no response!!! I agree... I think it is a scam!!! Highly suggest not to use Williams Sonoma for your wedding registry!!!!

    Someone bought an item we really needed on Williams Sonoma registry and the item will not be delivered until 3 months after the order date and was not marked as back ordered. They offered no solution whatsoever or even an offer to provide a similar item in a more timely manor. The trash can looks dog resistant and we are spending $300 in vet bills when the dog goes through the trash can. We are really in a jam due to misinformation and I hate to by a similar item that will arrive on time somewhere else when a guest has already bought that item for us. This just adds to the stress and would definitely not recommend WS registry! Not willing to provide a solution in this case which was out of my control.
