Who’s been to Hawaii? Honeymoon?!

I'm here to follow, if you don't mind. We're getting married and honeymooning on the Big Island in Kailua. I'd love to see other people's recommendations as well!

We went to Maui 4 years ago for a vacation and it’s bern our absolute favorite place ever! Perfect mix of relaxation and adventure. We rented a Jeep Wrangler and explored in our own...it was awesome! We stayed at the Sheraton Black Rock on Ka’Anapali Beach. We really liked that area. Whalers Village was a 5 minute walk down the boardwalk to restaurants and shops and the hotel also offered a free shuttle to Lahaina (Front Street) which had even more restaurants and shops. Must do’s are Road to Hana, Haleakala and then go to the famous donut shop (sorry can’t remember the name) explore north Maui (nakalele blowhole, heart shaped rock, sea cliffs, etc) get Shave Ice from Ululani’s (omg!!!) whale watching was amazing if you’re there in season, we also climbed Black stock and jumped off!! We also snorkeled right off the hotel beach near Black Rock and saw sea turtles.

My fiancé and I went to Oahu in February and stayed at the Moana Surfrider (the first/oldest resort) it’s absolutely beautiful!! With that being said it’s absolutely expensive!! Unless you are staying at the hotel and using their anemities you don’t need the best/most expensive! You aren’t going to be there during the day anyway- you literally come home when it’s super dark outside and just crash from being so tired from sun exposure haha Save your money because you will be spending it on food (obviously) it’s very expensive there. Oahu is like LA dropped down right on the beach but you can explore to the other side of the island and it becomes “wild jungle-ish”. I would also highly recommend renting a car through the app Turo- you will save so much money that way and you get to choose specifically what car you want and what time/day you want to drop it off. All in all it’s AMAZING, beautiful clear beaches- we saw wild whales and turtles. You’ve been to other tropical islands and places but this is defiantly one you can go to and cross off your list. I would recommend it good luck!

I got engaged in Hawaii a year ago. My fiancé and I went in December. The weather was beautiful and there was lots to do. Hawaii can be very expensive Especially in December.

We are either going to Hawaii or Mexico for our honeymoon in December. I have been to Hawaii several times(altho never on a honeymoon) but I would definitely recommend going. It’s absolutely beautiful!

We are going to Hawaii for our honeymoon in July! I went three times when I was younger, and it was a dream. We are SO excited. Nothing is all inclusive, but we are budgeting for everything.
