Which came first: deciding on your first dance song or your songs for parent dances?

We had our first dance song in mind before we were even engaged. I let my dad pick our father-daughter dance song. I knew he would pick something perfect that would mean a lot to both of us

We *think* we have our first dance song narrowed down, but let's be honest, it'll probably change in the next 11 months. We haven't chosen any other songs yet.

Parent dances came first! We let our parents choose the song for their dance and they had one ready to go pretty early on haha.

He was set on "I Hope You Dance" with his mom. It was her song for him for a long time.

We picked Chasing Cars. It played one night and we looked at each other and knew it was perfect.

Still cant decide on a first dance song...but i've got lots of options. We're not doing parent dance songs so thats probably why i have so much time for first dance songs

My DH and I danced to Billy Joel's "This is the Time". It was the first slow song we ever danced to. My dad selected Linda Ronstad's version of "When You Wish Upon a Star". I love Disney and it was a song his mom used to play for him.

Considering I was named after the song I used for my dance with dad, that was an easy one lol. It took us until about 2 weeks before the wedding to decide our first dance song!

We've known our first dance song for quite a while, we aren't doing parent dances!

We're not doing parents' dances so that quickly answers that question lol. We have always had our first dance song, though. We have a "song" so it'll be that.
