Where And When To Get Nails Done?

I have a specific nail tech that always does my nails. I Went to a normal shop to get my feet done as I always do though. Here is a picture of my nails for my minimony. I haven't decided what I'm doing for our upcoming wedding.

I have a regular nail salon I go to, so I'll use them for my big day as well.

My sister in law did mine. she and my bro own a nail salon so that was normal haha. i did mine the day before the wedding

Ha lucky! I'm thinking of getting mine done a couple days before when my mom goes but I just want to make sure that I get them done right, ya know?? So I'm trying to find somewhere before then and hopefully be able to make an appt.

Try out different shops in your area to see what they offer and if you like their work. If you're looking for design inspo, look on Pinterest or Instagram and ask if they can do that type of style there. I wouldn't recommend someone you've never gone to before right before the wedding. I plan on going to my regular nail shop (because I trust them and have seen their work) the day before the wedding. I'm most likely getting a blush pink/almost nude gel manicure, no design.

Yea, I'm doing that as well. Using all platforms that I can. I've gotten my nails done a couple times before (it's never really been my thing) but I don't really trust anyone like that. The couple times I gotten them done was just meh. That's why it's been hard for me to find someone. I don't mind going simple. I just want to make sure it'll last and look good, ya know??

A regular nail shop does them. They don’t care or need to know that they are for a wedding.

Yea. I definitely didn't plan on either of those options. Now, is that a month if I only do acrylic?? Cause any non acrylic that I've done never lasted that long.

Personally - I HATE acrylics, and am just going to go with a subdued gel mani before the wedding.

If I'm wanting my manicure to last, I go for a powder dip nail instead of acrylics because it's more gentle on my natural nails. I'm planning on going to the nail salon today actually and getting a matching mani/pedi in the color I'm wanting for our wedding day. It's not until January, but I like to prepare ahead of time lol.

I like gel nails too, but I usually go for that for less formal events/vacations. I just find gel nails to peel off easily, especially since I work in the medical field and I'm constantly washing my hands and flipping through paperwork.

For the actual wedding, I'm planning on going on Thursday to get them done, so 2 days before our wedding day.

I know they usually last 3 weeks before you need a fill in or anything, but that really depends on how much you use your hands everyday & how rough you are with them! For me, 3 weeks is about right since I use them and wash them constantly for my job! I've never had a problem with chipping as opposed to gel nails, where they're more likely to chip.
