When do most leave for their honeymoon?

Christina, on September 29, 2016 at 2:26 AM Posted in Honeymoon 0 51

My fiance and I are getting married on a Saturday. We wanted to go to Mexico for our honeymoon. Our predicament is, do we leave that following Monday or wait a week and go the next weekend? Any input is greatly appreciated. Also how long do most take off of work for their wedding/honeymoon?

I can't speak for anyone else, but I can say that we are leaving the next day. Our wedding is on a Saturday and we found a cruise that leaves on Sunday. We plan to be gone for a week. Actually, we'll be taking off part of the preceding week since the wedding is also OOT for us in the state where I grew up.

We get married on a Sunday, FH has the next day off (Memorial Day) and I'll be returning to work that Monday night. We're going to work until Thursday and leave for our honeymoon on Friday morning. So 4 days after.

Our wedding was on a Saturday, and we left for our honeymoon on Monday. We returned home the following Sunday, so we took M-F off work (we only work weekdays).

We still haven't decided what we're doing for our honeymoon but my plan is we leave on Monday. I'd like to have a brunch or something on Sunday or at least something so we can say goodbye to all our out of town guests (we have a lot of them). My sister got married on saturday and left on a cruise on sunday and wishes they had waited a day so they could have said goodbye to everyone better.

I don't think it matters when you leave. Speaking for myself though we will be leaving about 10 days after our wedding. We had to take an Loa from work to just get married so I did it this way as it is what worked best for us. So my advice is do what's best for you guys good luck!!

Our wedding is on a Sunday and we leave the very next evening for our honeymoon. Taking a 12 day Mediterranean cruise that leaves out of Rome so took off 2 weeks and a day from work.

We are doing a weekend trip the week after and a 7 day cruise in November to Dominican Republic. We changed our destination. But we're booked now so no going back. Lol

My wedding is tomorrow and we leave for our honeymoon Monday. So far, it's working out great because I'm not having to worry about honeymoon shopping and packing while also finishing all the last wedding details. FH and I can worry about it this weekend.

Getting married on a Saturday and honeymooning the following Saturday-Friday. Right now, the plan is to work the week between the wedding and honeymoon.

We are getting married on a Saturday and plan to leave on Wednesday. Maybe late Tuesday night if we have to take a red eye flight.

We got married on a Sunday and departed directly after the reception. Granted, we were married on the ship we took our honeymoon cruise on. So, it was a unique situation. Otherwise, we would have waited until the following weekend.

We're waiting a month. Timing wise it just works better for us.

We are waiting one week before we leave for our honeymoon just because the timing of events didn't make it possible for us to leave right away. Also we will be gone for one week.

We are going to wait 6 weeks before going on our honeymoon. One reason is that we are getting married in between Thanksgiving & Christmas. Another reason is we do not want to feel rushed. We want to be able to enjoy the wedding, relax a bit, and also have something to look forward to after the wedding is all over and done with Smiley smile I don't think there is any wrong time to go on a honeymoon.
