What's the weather out there?

Elly, on May 9, 2021 at 6:18 AM Posted in Arizona Planning 0 9

I am looking at venues in Arizona since my fiancé and I love the state (but don't currently reside there due to our jobs).

We want to take into consideration what the weather is typically like in the following areas during late April-early May:

-Sedona
-Phoenix
-Tucson

Any feedback from AZ residents is welcomed!

Hi Elly! Sites like weatherspark and accuweather are really good at giving monthly weather averages!! I'd definitely check those out to see what the typical weather patterns are!

OMG! We live in northern AZ but the majority of our family lives in the Phoenix area. When we started investigating venues, we narrowed down our search to all inclusive. We narrowed it down to 5 which I made appointments for. We fell in love with Regency Garden in Mesa. They made everything perfect- we had absolutely zero stress planning & on the day of. Our family & friends raved about the venue!

I definitely will! I am just curious as to what the locals have to say since locals will usually know the fluctuations, what is comfortable to wear, and maybe some wedding venues with accomodations.

This is beautiful! And thank you!!
I don't have a huge budget, and I am leaning towards all-inclusive venues!

I’m in Tucson and it’s already 95. I’m trying to figure out how to keep my guests from melting. 😓

😳 I know this may sound like a crazy question, but do you think there is a variation to how that temperature feels in Phoenix or Sedona? I ask because I am familiar with the coast, and sometimes the same temperature will feel differently depending on the humidity or how congested a city is.

Phoenix is going to be at least 5 deg hotter. I don’t think Sedona is as hot. But it’s pretty much dry heat in most of Arizona. Flagstaff is way cooler. Very pretty town.

Hi. I live in Scottsdale. It’ll be in the upper 90s and will probably reach triple digits by end of May. I’m not sure where you reside now, but to give you a comparison, I’m originally from Chicago. A 95 degree day in Phoenix area is the equivalent to a low humidity, 72 degree day in Chicago. Anywhere else with humidity if you heard it was in the 90s, it would sound like a death sentence, but that’s definitely not the case in Phoenix. Sedona is typically 15-20 degrees cooler than Phoenix. I’m not sure what Tucson is like.

Thank you! I am still scouting for venues at the moment. Trying to make a decision in the next few months.
