What ww is missing.

I think WW need one feature that’s missing.

It’s a “love” or “like” or “agree” button!
Agree?

No. Go to theknot.com, owned by the same people if you want that. There are persistant problems through the years with people liking each other, creating cliques in many boards, where the answers get tailored to who likies them most, popularity reigning over what is the correct or most useful information. Please, no thumbs up/ thumbs down, likes or dislikes here, with just clicks on WW. You can say the same thing in writing, with a little thought. And people know which parts of posts you are responding about. Boards which use popularity always develop major issues.

Hm... I honestly never thought about it from that perspective, but I do see your point. I only think about it in a positive way ✌🏻

No for me. It's nice to have a forum that is free from that format.

Going back 18-24 months, there used to be those options. WW made a bunch of changes to the forums and discontinued them. I agree that there are times it would be so much easier to just click a button rather than having to type a message to say "I agree." But like Judith said, those changes did, potentially, break up some less than "community building" behaviors on the forums.

If that’s true, that’s just sad. Very sad. I do sometimes read comments on other people’s post that are very honest but I do also think that wordings are more important. We do need to be aware how other’s feels when they read our comments. There are 2 people from this forum who became friends with me on social media, but they no longer are here due to the “attacks” they felt a while ago. In my honest opinion, words could be more painful and damaging than a like button. Just my 2 cents.

Woah. That is a shame. Can uou give an example of what was exactly said that was an attack?
My post about my weight loss was pulled down. I posted a before and after pic wjere I was standing to the side and i was wearing a shirt and pants and I lifted up my shirt a little so that viewers could see how my gut went down. I don't understand how it violated community guidelines

She made a comment trying to stop someone from being shamed about wishing her wedding in covid time without mask on. The post and her comment got screenshot-ed and posted on Quora (or something else, I can’t remember). There, the shame continued. It’s cruel, in my opinion.

The other was shamed too, but I promised her not to dwell on it any further 🤐

Omg! That is indeed malicious. So what if ppl are having a wedding without masks during COVID! Guests have the option to not go. Case closed.

Well, people are entitled to have opinion. However, it’s more how you say it and how you process it 🤷🏻‍♀️

    But vendors don't.

And in many places, masks are required.

Here at WW, we ask that you adhere to local guidelines.

Regardless, It's unacceptable for people being shamed on other platforms, such as Quora with their post being screenshot and put up there.

Also, vendors do have a choice. They can refuse to service weddings that aren't requiring masks.

Not if that choice is made without their knowledge, or after a contract is signed.

As someone who helps moderate the forums, I added that so people understand the guidelines here.

We have had numerous discussions about masks, and those of us who lived through April in the NYC area can tell you that masks are saving lives.
As each discussion about masks has come close to politics and not weddings, we shut them down.
    Keep that in mind, please.

I disagree. There is always a choice. If a vendor is genuinely concerned about covid precautions, then it should have been communicated in the contract or to their supervisor.

Okay, I suspect you misunderstood my comment. I was not encouraging anyone to go aroumd others without a mask.
