What was your Vegas wedding like?

Monica, on March 20, 2020 at 12:21 PM Posted in Nevada Planning 0 7
Fh is so over it. Hes over the ups and downs we have had in the last week. The wedding is obviously cancelled but he really doesn’t want to postpone. He wants our money back and he wants to get married in Vegas.

Im wondering how does a Vegas wedding go. What do most plan for the wedding. I know theres hundreds of chapels but do most go to the chapel and thats it? Or chapel and then make reservations to go out to eat? Or chapel and then go out to club for reception/after party?
I really do want to postpone because all of my wedding DIY work would have been for nothing. but I dont want to wait until the end of the year. So maybe we can do a Vegas wedding then postpone reception for later. Just wanted to get an idea of what all we would need to plan for a Vegas wedding and hoping the price would make sense vs spending more money.

I would look into whether Vegas chapels are even open... I think they are having a lot of closures out there.

I have no insight on Vegas weddings.
But I do believe you will have a tough time getting money back. I had zero issues postponing things without pentalties, but getting your money back is probably not easy.

Girl its not 😩😩. Out of 14 vendors so far only 3 will fully refund (some of them were fully paid). So im trying to talk to FH to compromise. Our wedding date was supposed to be 4/4. He doesn’t want to wait until October or later.

So our options: 1. elope in our backyard 2. wedding ceremony in vegas on our original anniversary date which is June 4th with after party? And then have a reception later in October. I also reached out to a few Other nearby venues to see if they have sooner availability.
Im trying to explain to FH we will lose money but he seems to think the vendors should be forced to pay us back. Trying to convince him we shouldn’t fully cancel.
