What traditional things are you keeping in your wedding?

Pretty much everything! Haha! I can't really think of anything we aren't doing besides the fact we are spending the night together the evening before.

Here are some of mine:

-Wedding party, including flower girl and ring bearer

-Dad walking me down the aisle

-No first look

-Speeches

-First Dances

-Old, new, borrowed, blue

I'm sure there is more, but that's what was at the top of my head!

I love that you're wearing a veil that's been passed down for generations!!

Here's mine:

-White Wedding Dress

-Guys will be in suits

-Big Wedding Party (5 Bridesmaids, 1 Maid of Honor, 1 Matron of Honor, 6 Groomsmen, 1 Best Man, 4 Ringbearers, and 1 Flower girl)

-2 pastors as our officiants (although having 2 isn't very traditional)

-All bridesmaids will be wearing the same dress

-Cathedral veil

-Dad is walking me down the aisle

-Real flower bridal bouquet and real flowers for bridesmaids bouquets, boutonnieres, and corsages

-Unity ceremony (we're doing the Lord's Supper)

-Garter and bouquet toss

-Photographer and videographer

-Speeches

-Something Old, New, Borrowed, and Blue

-First Dance, Father/Daughter Dance, and Mother/Son Dance

-We're not getting married at a church, but we're having a lot of Christian aspects at our wedding (Christian songs during ceremony, prayers, reading of scripture, signs with scripture on them, 1 Corinthians 13 aisle signs, and the Lord's Supper)

My dad is walking me down the aisle, we're not staying together the night before (even though now I wish we would've planned to), wedding party, and first dances.

-White dress and keeping it a secret until I walk down the aisle with my dad

-Something old/new/borrowed/blue

-Wedding party including kids

-Vows

-First dance and father-daughter dance

-Cake cutting

-Toasts

I think our wedding is pretty traditional other than the fact that we're not doing anything fancy for our ceremony so it'll only be about 20 minutes. We haven't decided if we're doing a first look or not, so if we don't, that'll be another tradition.
