What to wear morning of?

Victorian Bride, on December 17, 2020 at 9:42 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 17
We are eloping. Think everyone on here knows that and me! haha! I have to leave our suite to have my hair and makeup done in the spa on the premises of our resort. FH will then be getting ready in our suite while I'm out and he'll disappear before I get back. Talk about logistics!

Anyway, I don't know what to wear. I will have a photographer and videographer with me at the spa. I have several gorgeous robes to wear for pics once I'm back in my room. Has to be something that buttons or zips so I can remove it without messing up my hair. None of my maxi dresses will work. Should I wear nice lounge type PJ's to the spa? Buy another maxi dress that I can easily get out of? My wedding gown is strapless and I'd prefer not to wear a bra because of the strap lines; and the back of my gown is low so a strapless bra won't work either.
Any thoughts or suggestions? If you've done something similar, what did you wear? Thanks!!❤

Thank you, Michelle!! Yeah, I'm sure I won't be the 1st bride walking to the spa in PJ's. 😂 I thought if I did a maxi dress, I could have cups put in for support, but the PJ's would be more comfy.

The spa's not close to our suite. I have some really pretty robes, skimpy or sorta sheer so I can't wear them to the spa, to wear in the room for pics. I think what I'd feel comfy in robe wise might look frumpy since the spa's not close. 😂 PJ's are definitely still an option. Thank you, Michelle.

I would suggest something that opens in the front such as a blouse, button down shirt or robe, so it’s easily removable and you don’t have to slip it over your head once your hair is done.

I got ready at my apartment and hubbys hotel with his groomsmen (not superstitious over here, he just didnt see my dress), then finished getting ready at the venue. I wore a button up shirt with lemons on it (my fav and part of our theme) with yellow pants because of all the driving and running aroumd I had to do. I didnt even get to wear my getting ready robe for more than 5 minutes because as soon as I decided "i should probably change into this for pics" the photographer yelled at me about how I wasnt in my dress yet 😒🤣 im sorry you wouldnt let me leave this room and no one is communicating with me how the heck am I supposed to know? 🤣🤣🤣 Anyways i guess I dont have any answers, but this is a funny story

I definitely agree it needs to be something that opens in the front. I may just purchase one of their Spa robes to wear. I need something I can wear without a bra, or put cups into. I'm an F cup and only a layered, spa style, robe would disguise my not wearing a bra. Thank you, Marisa. 😊❤

Hi Annika!! Thank you for sharing this story! ha! ha! I'll probably be the one being screamed at for sure, but hope not!! 😂 Since we are marrying at a couples only resort, we'll definitely see each other the morning of the wedding as we are sharing our bridal suite. But he has no clue my gown is blush. He thinks it's white or ivory. I'm going to give my gown to the resort to steam the day we arrive, so I won't see it again until I return from the spa. They had better not harm it! 🙏🙏

You outfit sounds cute! My biggest problem is my F cup. I can't just run around in a regular blouse or something. It'll show I'm not wearing a bra, and I can't afford bra straps to mark me, just in case.
Thank you, again, for sharing your story. I'm sure it will come to my mind when I'm getting ready that day, especially if my photographer tells me to hurry!🙄😊 I appreciate it so much!! ❤ xx
