What to do after wedding in Portland, ME??

Adam, on August 31, 2017 at 10:56 AM Posted in Maine Planning 0 3

Hi all,

My partner and I are getting married this April at Grace in Portland, ME. We are trying to find stuff to do after the wedding which gets out at 10:30 so we can keep the fun going. We'll most likely be staying in a local hotel which doesn't seem to have a lot of space for us to gather so i'm looking for suggestions. Are there restaurants/bars/breweries open late that I could reserve some space at for us? I would have loved to continue celebrating rooftop somewhere but that doesn't seem like a possibility.

Help is greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Adam

Hey Adam! We held our after party at a hotel bar. I know you said the hotel you're likely using doesn't have the space, but might there be another local hotel you could try? If you want a bar I'd check tripadvisor, if you want a restaurant I'd look at the rehearsal dinner venues section of the Vendor tab. I bet there are some cool late night places down by the waterfront.

I live 15 minutes from Portland. The Old Port in downtown Portland is where everyone goes for nightlife. Here are a few links to check out:

I live in Portland! Grace is a beautiful place for a wedding! As Carolyn mentioned, you're close to the Old Port and there are a lot of great bars any restaurant that I'm sure you can reserve a place at. If you like bowling and that would fit with your wedding, you're not too far from Bayside Bowl (baysidebowl.com) which is a super cool bowling alley (we actually considered doing our wedding there). They have a roof deck, but that would probably be too cold for an April wedding. The REgency Hotel also has a roof deck too. There are also two breweries pretty close to Grace that rent out space - Oxbow (oxbowbeer.com) and Rising Tide (risingtidebrewing.com), definitely check them out!

Congrats and have a great time in Portland!!
