What to do about dated favors

You can print a new label and put them over it?

We have dated cups and cake toppers... I could remake the toppers, but the cups are what they are...


And we will be using them.
We'll be having one of the most talked about weddings of the year. Might as well give them something to remember it by.

I say use them as is. We're using our dated m&ms for an ironic touch. And as a way of saying we survived the current period.

We had the date engraved on our cake serving set. It’s also on our favors, card box, pens and cocktail napkins. I definitely get the panic- we’re using everything as is and FH is going to make a joke about it in his welcome speech. I’m trying not to worry too much. Especially since our guests are aware of how close we were when we had to postpone and why it was done.


FH even keeps making jokes like our play list will have to include my carona (instead of Sharona) 🤦🏼‍♀️

Those are so cool and make such a great favor! I can completely understand the frustration about the date change, but I agree with the others who say to go with it! Maybe you could add a tag similar to these (from Etsy), but put something like "Corona can't stop our love!" or something along those lines, with your new wedding date on it.

I’d say put a sticker over them! Or leave them!

It would depend on how far out. Coke will go flat. Otherwise a sticker or the cute pic above.

Use it and own it. Getting through a pandemic together is a part of how you grew stronger as a couple

Thanks guys!! We are going to be making or finding some stickers. I like the tag idea but FH very adamantly does not want the wrong date showing. He also will get a new guestbook so it will have the correct date

If you have a way to print stickers* and you want help with this, if you send me a picture of the original, unwrapped label, I can edit it for you so it has the correct date but still looks basically the same.

*and if you feel comfortable sharing your names or whatever you blurred out in the posted picture

I know it sucks and it's less than ideal.. but personally, I'd just keep them like that. It's just a little reminder to people of the date you had originally planned. The sticker idea could work too! In that case, I'd recommend measuring the label to make sure it will fit. People are most likely going to drink the Coke and toss the bottle anyway, so I think if you keep them the way they are it isn't a big deal.

Either use a new tag around the top or find a friend who is great at Photoshop to make new labels.
