What to call the Wedding Welcome Party

Amanda, on August 2, 2021 at 2:08 PM Posted in Parties and Events 0 5

My future in laws are throwing a welcome party for all of our guests who are in town the night before the wedding to attend after the Rehearsal is over. Would this typically be called just a "Wedding Welcome Party"? Or are there some more unique ways to title it?

My parents are doing this too and calling it a welcome dinner. I think either dinner or party is fine, depending on the location and how the food is being served.

My mom and dad are doing this too. We are getting married at the beach so they are calling it a welcome to the island party

We're doing a bbq at a local park and calling it "before we say I do bbq"

We are calling it a Rehearsal Dinner even though it’s more of a welcome dinner since all the out of towners are invited too. It’s what my future in laws wanted. I don’t think it necessarily matters what it’s called.

I would just call it a Welcome Dinner (assuming a meal will be served).
