Yolanda, on February 26, 2018 at 2:19 PM Posted in Planning 0 16

Ive been calling around I have been getting $500-$700 for a dj is that to high?

Photos $3200 for the video and 8 hours of pic taking or just $1200 without video, I would get full rights to photos and an edited and unedited version of the wedding and ceremony , if i choose the video.... and Im not sure if I am doing videography or not, what are yall thoughts?

It really depends on where you are. Both of those sound low to me. (I would LOVE to find a good DJ for 800!)
But, I’m in a big city.

$500-700 for a DJ is a good rate. I found mine for roughly $500.

My photographer is $3000 for an entire weekend (it's a destination wedding), and it includes a second photographer on Saturday. I did not do a videographer though because it didn't fit into our budget. I hope to not regret skipping it, but I'm glad I put full thought and effort into finding the best photographer I could. Pictures are everything.

I think $500-$700 is great, especially if includes an emcee. The photography price sounds about right.

I paid about $1000 for my dj, but I am in California. For the photographer, I spent about the same as your quote.

I think that is a great deal for a dj. We haven't met with one yet, but have gotten quotes for 1,500 and up!! I'm in New Jersey

    In North Carolina:

    DJ: $350

Photographer: Normally charges $1200 but she is a friend of ours so we will just give her a large tip.

Hey I'm also from New Jersey. Your photographer and videographer were 3500 each? Ours are around there too. We are still searching for a dj, who are you using?

Depends on location and vendors years of experience. My DJ was $2,200-one of my best vendors. He was amazing. Our photographer was $2,300, $500 for engagement session. The photographers pricessince my wedding 4 months ago have risen by $500. We hired a videographer, picked the cheapest option-an 8 min video, for $1,100.

The $3600 is the total for both photos and video. My DJ is Supreme Sound & Entertainment out of Keyport, NJ. I used to work with one of the owners though so I am getting somewhat of a friends discount.

That all seems pretty cheap to me. My DJ I believe is $900 for 10 hours. When I was looking around for photographers most were $2500-$3000 for 8 hours of photos and 2 photographers. I ended up getting my Uncle by marriage's nephew to do it and give me a discount for $1300.
