What Flowers Will Be In Your Bouquet? 💐

Flowers started low on our priority list when we first started planning... but somewhere along the line, they creeped up to one of my favorite aspects! 🤦🏼‍♀️

Dahlias are my favorite flowers, so I knew I wanted them incorporated in my bouquet. And I also wanted something a little off-the-beaten-path, so I requested a night & day/ good & evil bouquet LOL So one side of the bouquet was all light colored flowers, and the other side was all dark colored flowers.

Since that wedding didn't end in a legal marriage 🤦🏼‍♀️😆 I get to have another bouquet for our courthouse ceremony when we make it legal. This time around I'm going all Autumn colors, with a major focus on dahlias (I didn't think there were nearly enough in the first bouquet).

I mostly just gave our florist a list of flowers to incorporate, but here is a loose idea of what I'm going for this time around:

I did roses for my wedding. I really didn’t think about any other flowers than roses. I think it was bc I loved roses and I thought it would be beautiful for my wedding bouquet

I'm planning on doing a faux real touch bouquet so I'm still picking out stems I'd like to use. Right now I'm planning on peonies, roses, anemones, delphinium, and thistles with a good amount of greenery. This is roughly what I have in mind for the look:

I thought I’d responded to this, but I don’t see it! My favorite flowers are calla lilies, so that’s my bouquet, the bridesmaids, and the boutonnières. We'll mix in white roses and baby’s breath in the centerpieces to fill things out. This is my inspiration.

I'm planning on something Biollante inspired with red roses with cascading vines.

I think mine will be a combo of white ranunculus, roses, lisianthus, eucalyptus, lamb's ear and baby's breath.. going for a white and sage look, and then wrapped with a teal ribbon (since my wedding colors are teal and light sage). That's what I'm thinking for now at least, I have until June of 2024!

I'm thinking something like this, but with a silk ribbon tied around the base (thinking dusty blue) for me

And then for my girl crew, I'm thinking some ivory/green combo (strongly considering ranunculus rn, definitely going with some salal/ruscus/smilax for greenery) with a darker blue ribbon (like a medium slate blue? idk how to describe it, but think a darker slate blue, but kind of saturated). My wedding is in mid June

Thank you! Going with a darker teal, like a peacock color. My bridesmaids will be wearing Azazie dresses in Peacock so something like that.
