Welcome sign

I had our welcome sign printed by VistaPrint. We had it printed on a foam board. I don't remember the exact cost unfortunately, but all of their pricing is online.

I like the idea of welcome signs, but I just can't justify the cost of something that I'll never use again. IF we do a welcome sign, we'd probably just get a nice frame that we could put up in our place or something and print the sign on a paper to stick in the frame. That's our plan with the table numbers, guest book sign, any anything else as well. Any of the frames we don't have space/ use for can always be gifted to someone with a special picture in it afterwards as well.

I honestly never understood the purpose of a welcome sign and therefore didn't have one. Guests know whose wedding they're attending. The officiant typically welcomes them to the ceremony and the DJ welcomes them to the reception, with the bride and groom going around and thanking/welcoming guests at least at 1 point in the day. There really isn't a crucial need for a welcome sign unless you personally are dying to have one. I don't think guests notice even half the decor/signs couples put out. Honestly, I only started paying attention to that stuff when I was planning my own wedding.

I 100% agree! I wasn't going to do one but my mother is insisting. She is paying for it, but I still would like to find an inexpensive option.

My dad and stepmom just got mine printed at FedEx!


The little one is for my guestbook table and the big one is for the private room at the restaurant (so they know they're in the right place).

They printed the big one on a mounted poster board from FedEx! It was done in about 2 days ☺️

I found one on Facebook. It was like $15 it says “welcome to our wedding” and it was super easy to get. Try looking at bridal groups on Facebook especially wedding resale groups.

I would search a local printing company. They would be happy for your business and would offer low rates and personalized service.

I personally love welcome signs, verbal welcomes at hotels, and welcome glasses of champagne. It's a warm touch but a last detail so it's up to you if important. I used simple cardstock with my colors, punched 2 holes at the top, and hung it with a ribbon. Today, it hangs on one of my wall speakers.
