Weight loss

Alisia, on November 6, 2020 at 4:19 AM Posted in Fitness and Health 1 41
So I'm sort of a big girl. I get teased by family and my love's family. While he does tell them something it doesn't mean I don't want to prove them wrong. So I started counting calories and got a job at a warehouse so that I'm constantly moving. The first 3 weeks I lost 10 lbs but now I've stopped losing weight and it's been 3 months already. My best friend and I picked a dress that really will show my success and I need to wear that dress and I also want to be healthy. I need help please someone tell me what to do.

What are you using to calorie count? I found MyFitnessPal to be really helpful. You do have to weigh all your food though - I found the most eye opening thing was that my eyeballed portions were WAY more than I thought they were - what I thought was a serving of cereal was nearly two servings, for example. If you weigh everything (and measure liquids) and stick to your calorie budget you should lose weight. Remember it’s not linear though - you won’t lose anything for a while then all of a sudden you wake up and your pants are too big. Weight also fluctuates with your cycle (I can fluctuate up and down five pounds easily depending on where in my cycle I am) so maybe try weighing yourself once a month so you’re always roughly at the same stage which should give you some consistency.

Everyone's body is different. I lost 15 lbs during this pandemic and went from a size 6 to a size 2 or 4, depends on what clothing brand I'm wearing. I only drank water and ate mostly veggies, grilled poultry or veggie meat and fruits. Totaling in 1500 calories

Totalling in 1500 calories per day. I also did Chloe Tings 2 week shred challenge (https://www.chloeting.com/program/2019/two-weeks-shred-challenge.html) and her 28 day flat belly challenge (https://www.chloeting.com/program/2020/flat-tummy-challenge.html).

I recommend you try the diet I did and Chloe Tings 2 week shred and see if tou have any results. Two weeks is just a short time frame to try something new. Chloe Ting also has other videos on youtube showing you what she eats.

Oh and I love cereal. But swapped my sugary brands like frosted flakes for corn flakes or rice crispies (100 calories per cup). I also swapped regular milk for almond milk (30 calories per cup).

Portion control is more than half the battle. Weigh things. Because the peoples I come from have always had very different diets, with most foods available due to modern transportation the number with or headed for diabetes is horrendous. And my recent volunteer work has been with the general public, those starting diets, and those newly cooking for diabetics. ... Judging by looks, more than 2/3 people will serve 1 1/2 to 2 times most portions. And fruit juice and fruit, they serve like it is water. Weigh everything for a while. Buy
Boneless skinless Chicken thighs or breasts, and limit beef to maximum 1 pound a month. No sausages.
And keep your salt in the 1,000-1,500 sodium range. This will eliminate lots of things from your diet completely, but except for pickles, almost all high sodium foods are bad in other ways. 🙂 If it is for weight loss, many people do better picking 2 days each week at 1500 calories, 5 at 1200 calories, than keeping a lower amount all the time. It greatly reduces the number of times you cannot stand it any longer and cheat. 🙂 It is not just your wedding gown. It is your health for life.

Weight loss is a formula of calories in vs calories out. To lose weight, you need to be in a calorie deficit. This deficit can be achieved with diet alone, exercise alone, or (most commonly) in combination of the two. 3500 calories are equivalent to 1 pound, so you want to have a 3500 calorie deficit per week to lose a pound a week. Sustainable weight loss is suggested at 0.5-2 pounds per week. The heavier you are, the quicker weight may initially come off. And as another poster mentioned, that time of the month can impact your weight, especially with water weight.

I have lost almost 100 pounds over the last few years. I did this by sticking to a consistent workout routine (strength training 2-3 times a week and HIIT training 2 times a week). I’m thinking any program would be fine, but I had crazy success with the Kayla It’s one’s program. I like to stick around **** calories a day but will also have days I eat 4 donuts lol. My biggest advice is to find fun ways to eat veggies. I eat veggies at every meal and keep it to two portions of fruit a day. I eat mostly lean meat (turkey, chicken) and eat red meat once a week to keep my iron levels up. Please also eat one treat every week. It’s so important that you give yourself some fun foods occasionally! Good luck!

I recommend switching things up a bit. You might have hit a plateau because your body is used to the calories you are consuming and the workouts you do. I suggest kicking up your workouts (if possible. If you aren't able to, start off small, and gradually increase) and try different recipes. I've lost a total of 46 pounds, and I've done a bit of everything (keto, fasting, working out with a trainer, replacing meats and carbs for healthy substitutions, reducing the amount of meat I consume, fitgirls challenge).
Keep at it!!! You're doing great!

I had good success with a few different things: Macros inc Facebook group, Diet bet, and I hired a personal trainer. It’s a financial commitment but it’s what’s actually helped keep me accountable personally. I’m sorry everyone is so cruel to you, I wish you the best success in your weight loss journey and your marriage!

I was 245 and lost about 40 pounds since july. I did just get liposuction and a fat transfer to my butt. I was doing a diet plan called optavia. I honestly am still on it. Its great for losing weight. But you cant exercise on the plan because youll burn too many calories. You eat about 5 100 to 120 calories "fuelings" a day then you make your meal. That is mostly teaching you how to portion. If you do work at the warehouse this might not be the best. Before that i was using MyFitnessPal as well.

First of all, I really admire you for your motivation! You got an active job, you and your love are standing up to the teasing, you have already lost 10 pounds, you are tracking calories, you are open to new ideas and soliciting input...wow!! You are really gonna succeed and accomplish your goals! I'll add that I've had success in the past with intermittent fasting and MyFitnessPal (but i agree with the previous tip about weighing and measuring stuff). I find that with intermittent fasting, it seemed a lot easier and more interesting/exciting when I read up on the possible benefits. With intermittent fasting, everyone should start slow and also probably run the idea by their doctor. Since you have an active job, it may not be reasonable. Just throwing it out as an idea. But you go girl!! You are gonna accomplish your goals and you're gonna be beautiful in your dream dress marrying your love!! It sounds like you're already beautiful on the inside and the outside Smiley smile

I lost the weight by portion control, walking & staying away from the sweets. I do indulge from time to time but I keep thinking of my end game! It took over a year for me to lose the weight but I did it! Best feeling in the world! When I was finally able to hit my target, I got a tummy tuck & liposuction- still in the recovery phase of that & holy crap does it hurt. Keep your eye on the prize! You got this! All your homies here got your back!
