Weight loss Struggle Before Wedding 1
I had a baby not long ago, ended my pregnancy at 230 pounds Smiley sad

Wedding is in july, and I have about 11 more pounds to my goal.
Meal prepping, Diet, and Exercise. There are no magic pills, no lazy short cuts (I've tried)Spin Class, Walking, Stairs, Berberine, Low Calories, Water, Meal Replacement shakes.Discipline, Dedication. Not Giving Up Weight loss has been slow verrrry slow, literally like 0.4 loss every week to every other week. Insulin resistance is a biaaaatch and I know many brides feel my pain especially if you have kids and any other underlining issues.Weight loss Struggle Before Wedding 2

I feel this sooooo much right now!! I’m trying to drop weight and get healthier after 2 years of surgery, being on a walker then crutches, relearning to walk, physical therapy... it’s been a long hard road. And now, unfortunately, I will never be able to run, jump, skip, or do lunges or squats, or anything weight loading on my hips. I can’t even walk more than a mile without being in pain for the next 2-3 days. It’s so frustrating trying to find ways to lose weight and tone up without ANY of the basics that trainers and doctors tell you to do. Not giving up though! Where there is a will there’s a way!! 💪🏻

After the baby they extended my healing period which did not help me get you a chair gym it worked great for me you sit down and work out at the same time that's what I had to do for a long time after having the baby

3 healthy kids, blood disorder, thyroid problem, and super low blood pressure. Not to mention my love for food 😂. I am very short too, so the more weight I gained, the shorter I look. I gained about 20lbs in 6 weeks visiting my hometown 🤐, then I lost all of it within 2-3 month with just floor exercises, intermittent diet, and now just cutting my portion smaller. Loosing weight is very challenging when there with underlying problems. Dizzy, nausea, lost balance, etc. But it won’t stop me. I strongly believe if I don’t challenge myself, my health will be only worse. It’s not the numbers on my scale that scares me, but the number on my lab work 🤣

I envy your muscles!!! I have muscle loss due to my wacky hormone, and seems like age is a thing too. You motivate me! 💕

Your welcome. My aunt got a chair gym after her surgery her blood clot and asthma, she focused on her diet, walked, used the chair gym, she lost 45 pounds. It took time but she got it done.

This gives me so much hope!! I had blood clots in my leg and both my lungs after surgery- it took a long time to even be able to walk across the room without being out of breath. I’ve been working on my diet, but really need some cardio! And some way to tone my lower body without screwing up my hip. My legs and tush are really starting to show the muscle loss... and it ain’t pretty!

I'm confident you can reach your goal in time. I don't have much knowledge about insulin resistance. I do know that for the average person, weigjt losd is 75 to 80% of ehst you eat and only 20 to 25% of the exercise

    Insulin resistance, pcos, cushing's syndrome,
Pretty much your body doesn't process insulin like it should.
Makes it harder for the body to lose weight, metabolism is way off, hormones are all over the place.

I’m sorry for what you’ve gone through! It sounds like you’re very strong. Have you tried yoga? YouTube yoga with Adrienne for beginners is great for recovery for many injuries!

I’ve never tried yoga! I’ve been interested in it for a long time, but it doesn’t look like I can do hardly any of the poses with my hip (nearly zero flexibility in the right one post surgery, and moving it past its limit will cause tears & the need for either another surgery to attempt to repair it or a complete hip replacement 😭). I went from a very healthy, active, fit person to a nearly motionless blob post surgery. I’m not even allowed to swim or cross my legs at this point. It’s super frustrating. I will totally check out the video though! Who knows, maybe there are a couple things I’ll actually be able to do! 🤞🏻 Every little bit helps!

Yes. Less carbs too. And less cholesterol. Reading all the nutrition facts makes me feel frustrated sometimes 😆 I was so much fitter when I was pregnant than now. Now I just want firmness and fitness back. Weight loss Struggle Before Wedding 4
This was 9 years ago (31 weeks pregnant with my 3rd). 2-3x gym a week. Now, only floor exercise and bit weight lift 2x a week. I barely notice any difference on my muscle. Do you think I need more protein? I did hear about the protein shakes, but afraid if they have any side effects?
