Weddings in mi

Hello. I have read the forums frequently and find so many things that you all have posted to be helpful. This is my first post.

I am curious if anyone has a summer wedding planned in Michigan that can offer some insight on how they or their vendors are interpretting the current reopening plan in the state.
Outside of the northern regions, I take it that they're planning to reopen the rest of the state to half capacity in restaurants, but social gatherings (like weddings) will be limited to 50 indoor and 250 outdoors ( in the coming weeks).
My banquet hall keeps telling me not to worry and that by July I can have half capacity of their very large hall (several hundred people if I choose to). I don't think the language of the current orders says that.
I have a backup indoor/outdoor space, but have no idea to move forward. I want everyone to be as safe as possible and there are pros and cons to both spaces.
Thanks in advance for any insight you all may have!

    Hi there,

I'm curious about this too. My wedding is July 25th in Southwest Michigan. My wedding venue just let me know they are reopening on June 8th under the order of bars and restaurants saying they can have 50% capacity indoors. My venue is an old building renovated to be a wedding venue. They don't have air conditioning and have roll up garage doors and no kitchen onsite. I talked with my photographer and she said indoor receptions are limited to 10 currently and maybe 50 after July. My ceremony is outdoors and reception indoors. I double checked with my venue and they again said 50% capacity which would be 100 people since the capacity is 200. They have proper room to space tables. I'm not sure what to think.

Thank you for your reply. It is all very confusing. I think your venue falls in the grey area of an outdoor space. My alternative space also functions like that with doors that open up and make it an open air environment.

I think venues that are saying they can function half capacity indoors are taking liberty. I'm just so worried that I will plan everything and then find out last minute or day of that legally my wedding is being shut down.
