Wedding

A lot of it is going to depend on your wants/desires and your level of creativity. For example, you could create your own invitations completely from scratch or you could buy a template from Etsy that you just have to edit then either print yourself or have printed at a local print shop. Canva is another option. In Canva, you can either use an existing template or make your own. Canva has both a free account or pro account which you do have to have a subscription for. With the Canva pro account it does give you access to more templates. They have everything from save the dates, invitations, ceremony programs, etc.

For our wedding, my husband designed and built our card box. He is in construction so it was easy for him to do. We created our own favors which were stemless wine glasses with our names & wedding date half filled with black & red M&Ms (our wedding colors) and a cake pop set (which my MIL made) set on top of the M&Ms. My two nieces were our flower girls and my MIL made their dressers based off a pattern we bought from JoAnn's. While we did have our florist create a candy bar for us at our wedding we could have easily done it ourselves but we just didn't really have the place to store candy since our wedding was 3+ from our house.

If you are having alcohol, you can buy a bin for ice and beers so guests can serve themselves. For non-alcoholic punch or lemonade, you can fill a beverage dispenser (with spout) and guests can serve themselves. I strongly do not recommend self-catering as you will be busy and there are food safety issues. Plus, many venues do not allow homemade food.
