Wedding Website Details for Guests Page

Julija, on August 8, 2022 at 12:23 PM Posted in Planning 2 6
So I’m slowly starting to build up a details page for guests about the wedding. After being to a few weddings and having had questions but no real way to get answers without contacting the bride (only person I knew at the wedding) I started with that. Any ideas on what I should include?

I think the details/FAQ page depends on what type of wedding your having! If it's a destination, I would include:

    1. Room block details - phone numbers, links, options, etc

    2. Any other travel accommodations: what is the closest airport they should fly into? Will guests need any transportation between the ceremony and reception?

If it's local, I would just add any details that you have had questions for in the past. I don't think I can think of any questions for local brides unless they were having a cash or capped bar, which I think needs to be clearly defined beforehand.

I added answers to questions I thought would be the most likely to be asked:

What does the dress code mean? Are plus ones allowed? Are kids allowed? What time does everything start/end?

Basically things that my fiancé's family had been asking anyways!

I had an accommodations page separate from our FAQ page just so it would be easier to find (we have a lot of people flying in). I included a link to the hotel block, the nearest airport, and the times/ location that the shuttle we booked would be picking up.

On our FAQ page we included dress code, that the ceremony would be unplugged, our hashtag, whether there was parking available/ where to find it, transportation info (to reiterate the info on the accommodations page but also to highlight that rideshare options are available), what traffic is like, when to plan on arriving to the ceremony, what the weather is like around that time of the year, whether any part of the day would be outdoors, whether kids/ +1s are allowed, what to do after the ceremony, how to let us know about dietary restrictions, and how to reach us if they had any other questions.

Lol I have all of that so far. No one has been asking any questions yet, so it’s been hard trying to figure it all out.

Ooooo those are some good ideas to add. I have most of them, but I’ll have to include the other ideas too. 🥰💕💕💕
