Wedding Venue in Minnesota - Advice Needed

Chau, on September 11, 2019 at 6:47 PM Posted in Minnesota Planning 0 2
Hi all, I’m super new to this forum. It’s amazing to see thousands (or millions will I say) brides and grooms help each other out throughout this process.

We are planning to hold the wedding in July or August 2020. Our theme is romantic, elegant and minimalistic with lots of green and natural light so maybe a golf course, park, or a mansion venue or historical site would be nice. Guest: about 75 people. Budget: 12k (we are paying everything on our own, I already bought my dress! Yay!)

Do you have any suggestion for the venue and food vendor? We want to keep the total venue cost (outdoor ceremony and reception) within $2-3k and food&bevarage cost within $3k. So total of $5-6k for venue and food.

We we really appreciate your thoughts!! Smiley heart

Hey Chau! Welcome to the WeddingWire community! It’s so great to have you join us!

Have you had the chance to check out the WeddingWire vendor search tool? You can search through venues and caterers in your area to help narrow down your search!

Here are the Minnesota Wedding Venues that are listed. You can filter your search based on what style of venue you want too!

Some venues offer in house catering, but if you find a venue that allows you to hire an external caterer, you can check out the Minnesota Wedding Caterers here too!

What style of food would you like served at your wedding?

Hey! I'm not sure where in MN you're looking but if you're in the cities, Mystic Lake isn't too far of a drive.

We eloped to Tennessee last week but have been planning our reception at Mystic Lake Casino in Prior Lake in two weeks. They do catering and alcohol in house, along with the cake, and do some decorations/lighting as well. Their new event center is super beautiful! And the hotel is onsite, so no need to worry about transportation. They offer ceremonies as well, we just didn't need it.

Aside from that, their prices are really affordable (if you cant call a wedding affordable). Contact them and they can send you their catering menu, it has prices per head listed in it. they offer both plated and buffet styles.

They are doing so much that all we had to do was hire a DJ & a photographer Smiley smile
