Wedding Superstitions - Not seeing each other before the wedding

FH and I were tossing this idea around for a while but we decided to do a first look. It'll be super special and will calm our nerves. But, we are not getting ready together or staying together the night before.

My FH believes 100% that it is bad luck and refuses to see me at all the day of until I'm walking down the aisle.

Hahaha my DH did a first look and hung out the morning before the wedding. Hopefully we don't get too much bad luck.

We are sticking tradition with this one. Sleeping in different places and really not talking till we have "that moment" as i walk down the isle

We are having a first look so we are skipping this. Not just for nerves, I want to have a moment of just us before really getting into the whole day.

At first we didn't want to do a first look, but time-wise it just makes too much sense. We are both pretty traditional about some things, but really want to get a head start on the photos. We are staying at separate locations the night before though.

I don’t believe in this superstition but apparently my FW does, she said she does not want to see me until I walk down the aisle

We are doing a first look so, will see each other prior to the ceremony. I'm keeping a bit of the tradition alive in that FH will go to his parents' house to sleep/get ready after our rehearsal dinner and won't see me again until I surprise him at the first look.

We were with each other the whole day, no separation, and even got ready together. I don't believe in this superstition whatsoever. I believe I had such a wonderful wedding day was because we didn't build it up to some magical moment of my H seeing me for the first time walking down the aisle-we did everything together the day of just as we are supposed to the rest of our lives.

I know we went back and forth about if we were going to see each other before the ceremony, or even spend the night apart. We decided we were going to do a first look and spend the night together to help calm our nerves.. I figure if I see him and get the tears out before the ceremony, I might be better during the ceremony, lol

This is one that my FH and I totally believe in. We are skipping the first look and just waiting until I walk down the aisle. Cannot wait!

We originally weren't going to have a first look, but then I started outweighing the cons. We invited a good handful of people and wanted to spend some time during cocktail hour with them.

I never knew the reason behind this tradition was "bad luck". I thought so the groom will not see how gorgeous you look till you walk down the aisle.

FH are spending the night before together but will part ways in the morning. It's not so much about bad luck as it is preserving that special moment of seeing each other all dolled up in that this is it moment. I never wear makeup or dresses and it will blow FH away to see me like that, and compound that with the realization that we are getting married then is to much to pass up.

We haven't decided yet. But we probably won't see each other after the rehearsal dinner. I do know we aren't doing a first look FH said no. So that's not happening. He wants it to be a special moment when he sees me walking down the aisle. Not gonna lie this is a slight superstitious for me.

FW & I are planning on getting ready together, but it took her a bit to talk me in to it....

I do not believe in superstition- so FH and I will be doing a first look. It works better with our situation.
