Wedding stress

Apryl, on March 10, 2019 at 10:53 PM Posted in Massachusetts Planning 0 9
I have changed my wedding plans about 500x now, anyone else totally stressing? I think we have finally decided on a venue, Indian pond cc in Kingston. We want to save on the venue by booking in the off season April 2020. I'm afraid of the weather still being snowy. What do you guys think? I guess in NE you never know but I feel like I just need some reassurance lol. Every idea I have people are questioning, he month, the day, the venue, I'm not even sure why I care because it's not their wedding it's my fh and I paying on our own but I can't help but let the stress weigh on me. HELP!

Indian pint country club is nice. If it snows, well I’m sure they will have a plan B with set up inside and it gives it a unique back drop with the snow all over the ground

Hi Apryl! Congratulations on choosing your venue, that's a huge step so well done! It looks like a beautiful venue. Are you having your ceremony outside? Is this where your worry about the snow comes in? The best thing you can do is talk to the venue about this, they must have an alternative solution so that you and your guests don't have to be outside!

Plus, if it is still snowy, you might get some really beautiful photographs taken!

You shouldn't worry about what other people have to say about your decisions. You are right, it's you and your FH's day so as long as you both are happy, then that's all that matters!

Keep your discussions between you & your SO. That way it will be a wedding that truly focuses on the 2 of you & not other people's opinions.

The most angsty part of my planning was about the venue and type of wedding we wanted to have. Once the venue was booked, everything became MUCH less stressful. Are YOU happy with Indian Pond? Does it feel right to you? Then do it! If not, that's okay too!

Hi! I’m getting married next April as well. April 3rd 2020, and I was worried it might still be cold or snowy, but either way the day will be perfect. We chose April for a few reasons but one is because as you said, it saves money. Whatever the weather is, you’ll have a beautiful day. And don’t let what others think sway your decisions. It’s YOUR day. It took me a few months of wedding planning to finally get to that point. Happy planning from one April bride to another Smiley smile

Remember ppl have wedding everyday of the year. So it may be snow, rain or warm sunshine that in April. That is the fun of it! Dont let them get to you.

It can get so stressful! Plan for a weekend where you don't even talk about the wedding! Just focus on you and your future spouse!

You have to decide what's best for you and what you genuinely want for a wedding!

We're getting married in March in Wisconsin which is typically the month of snow one day, rain the next, sunshine the day after that, then cloudy skies for a week, etc. So we really don't know what the day will look like but we're having an indoor wedding so it really doesn't matter too much.

I would say if you are looking to do an outdoor wedding in an unpredictable season, make sure you have a plan b in case it does get cold/snow/anything crazy. OR make sure you have a way to keep yourself and guests warm!

I personally wouldn't mind attending a wedding outside when it's on the cooler side or just starting to snow as long as I had a place to duck into if I had to warm myself up!

Totally stressed. I am up almost every other night until 3am thinking and looking up things.
To me April is iffy, like you said NE weather changes quick.
Make sure you have a plan B just in case things go as well.
    Good luck!
