Wedding speakers for ceremony

Jordan, on February 22, 2024 at 12:09 PM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 6
I am having a small around 40 people outside wedding ceremony. Any recommendations on a Bluetooth speaker that would work the best?

I had thought about this speaker for my day. I was going to sit the speaker pieces in the areas I needed.

There was one that looks pretty good that I shared on another thread

Harbinger VARI V2308 8" 2-Way Powered Loudspeaker With Bluetooth, DSP and Smart Stereo

You could check it out with your cell phone or other device with Bluetooth. This is 400W which may help if the crowd is noisy. Of course, whichever system you get, you can still use at home or for parties. You would need a mic for announcements, if needed. You maybe can get low budget mic with a windscreen to go on the end -- in case it is a windy day.

Try out a system at a music store that has electronics or at an Electronics and Appliances store.

Do you have further details on what type of venue you have? For example, the beach has wind that will drown out any other noise including microphones and speakers and it’s difficult to edit out that wind from any video that may be taken. The forest or an open plain won’t have wind noise to compete with. A city rooftop may be competing with aircraft where even the best speakers and microphones are not easy to hear.

Amazon is hit or miss depending on reviews and not everyone likes to shop there but they are good about returns if something doesn’t work out for you. Otherwise, browse Google or Yelp in your area for stores that sell high end speakers and then shop in person to see how they perform. Though you won’t be able to try them out “in the wild” until you get to the venue.

We're having about 30 people at our outdoor wedding. The venue is an Air BnB by the river, so there will be light noise from the water & maybe the wind. We have a desktop Bose Soundlink Revolve speaker & it worked really well during a trial run a few months ago. It's small & inconspicuous so we can place it out of the way but Costco has some really good deals on speakers too if you don't mind you a big larger.
