Wedding Signs

I made my own. I went to goodwill and bought picture frames and some acrylic paint and oil based paint pens and made them. Oh I used like word and canva for fonts but it was super easy peesy and not expensive.

We did not have a welcome sign, though we had a photo guest book sign, a wooden hashtag sign, and two signs for our ring bearer and flower girl to each carry one down the aisle!





We had also planned on putting together a bar sign with signature drinks and the rest of the drinks offered, but ended up working on other details, and the sign fell off my radar. I'm actually kind of glad that we never bought one though, we really didn't need it!

I have a bunch of frames waiting for me to do all my signage I had planned on making 😅

I'm planning to do my table names, a layout/ table chart to be where I'll have the escort cards so guests know which table is where, a frame for how to share photos to our shared album, and one for the bars with our signature drinks on them.

I’m not a big fan of the whole sign movement that seems to be overtaking weddings. I had hoped to have no signs at all, but ended up ordering an “instruction” sign for our photo guestbook; only because I was afraid people would overlook it otherwise. I made it super cute and personal though with an illustration of our adorable dogs.

We had a welcome sign and one for the guest book. Found them on Etsy.

We kept signs to a minimum- just ones where we thought people needed direction. Our reception venue can’t hold more than one event at a time, and there was no mistaking where the ceremony was in the church, so we didn’t do welcome signs. We had an “Unplugged Ceremony” sign, a guestbook and “key to your seat” instruction sign, favors sign, sparklers sign, and a small one listing our signature drinks that were available at the bar. The unplugged and signature drink ones were templates off Etsy that my mom worked with and got printed, sparklers one was cheap off Amazon, and the rest were done by our stationer.

No welcome signs or bar signs. It was a destination wedding so I couldn’t bring banners or big acrylic signs.

View Quoted Comment Thank you! 😄 Will admit that was all my parents! 😂 Since I had been doing most of the big stuff, I let them take charge of this and the centerpieces. They were obsessed with finding a card box where you can’t see how much is inside for security reasons. They finally found this one and my mom made the photo with “Cards” on it and printed it 😊
