Wedding Signs And Such With Old Date

Jasmine, on July 24, 2021 at 3:31 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 25
Has anyone who postponed used their signs, card boxes, etc. with their old date on it or just bought new ones?? We really want to keep them but not sure if we should. Maybe use it to be funny because of covid or just do it over??

We had a beautiful sign made for our original date last year. Rather than get a new one, I decided to take a paint marker to it and “fix” it 😂Wedding Signs And Such With Old Date 1

Lol that's great! We were thinking along the same lines but wasn't sure how it would be perceived.

Honestly, if I were invited to a wedding at which the couple used the stuff with the old dates marked through and "corrected," I would figure they were rolling with the punches as it were and that they had good humor about the situation.

What a cute idea, we all know why and I think people will chuckle knowing why. And it will always bring a smile to your face when you see it.

We left everything reading 2020 Smiley smile
I’m also watching the Olympics right now, and everything there says 2020 so I don’t think you’re in the wrong for keeping your old stuff or making a quirky correction to it.

We had one of our welcome signs and our cookie favor bags with our original date on it. At first, it bothered me, but my now husband said he liked it because it showed the path it took for us to get to our wedding ❤️ Left them with the original date and it doesn’t bother me at all and no one said a word (or didn’t even notice). 😉 hope this helps ❤️

Save the money and keep it! The cross out idea is very cute. Also as someone else said the Olympics is keeping it so if they can do it on the world stage so can you!

I would totally use them with the old date; the Olympics are doing that right now lol. I think guests will find it cute. Times have definitely changed and folks will understand; I say go for it. We'll be using our old invitations as paper fans for when people get hot on the dance floor. They'll be placed by the bar for grabs with a funny little note LOL!

Jasmine, thanks so much for asking this!!! I am helping my daughter plan her wedding and as the host I feel so much better reading people's thoughts on this. We too had to postpone and have things with the original date on them. We were on the fence about using them and worried people might think I'm "cheap". Thanks so much!!!
