Wedding Registry

Grace, on August 31, 2022 at 4:24 PM Posted in Registry 1 7

What kind of things do you put on a wedding registry??? Last time I was at a wedding I was maybe 14 so my parents bought the gift. I have some kitchen things and I honestly have no clue what else to add. I'm doing mine through Amazon so family close and far can look at it and contribute.

Lol please help!!!

I recommend choosing items you need for your home or something you d like to upgrade some ideas are

    China/new dinnerware

Silverware (or an extra set if you plan on hosting family frequently)

    bar ware

    Air fryer

    Standmixer

    Pots and Pans

    Home decor

    Storage Containers

    Dutch Oven

    Toaster Oven

    N'espresso

    Candles

    Baskets

    Meat thermometer

    Baking pans

    Glassware

    Electric Kettle

    Nice Vacuum

    Nest

    Patio Furniture

    Kitchen Gadgets

    Hamper

    Sheets

    Duvet/Comforter

    Towels

    Luggage

    Tool set

    Mop

Something related to hobbies you both have

    Outdoor grill

On amazon I *think* you can register for gift cards

Definitely look through the list that Rosebud shared, there are a lot of good ideas on there! Also take a look around your home and think about what things you don't currently have that would be nice to have (maybe an Instant Pot or a set of table lamps or some new board games, etc) or things you already have but want to upgrade (new towels or new silverware or new trash cans, etc). It can also be for shared hobbies - if you're both into camping, you could add a new tent or outdoor cooking supplies or a cast iron pan or anything along those lines. If you're both into concerts/music, you could put a ticket stub book on your registry, or a Bluetooth speaker, or even concert tickets. Whatever you put on your registry should be something that would be for both of you, so avoid putting things like women's shoes or men's hats or something that aligns with one person's interests, but not the other.

You can do a registry through Etsy and pick out fun monogrammed things or items with your new last name on them!

Something that we are doing and that our friends do is limit the items on the registry. Instead of material gifts, people bring cash.

We’re personally not doing a registry (mostly because we live together and have everything we need) But we’re also moving into an RV to travel full time next year so we’ll be packing up/ selling a lot anyway. So we said to give cash if you wish to give a gift. We already had family tell us they’d be giving us cash before we even asked. It’s not taboo in our circle

We've lived together for a couple years, so we included some things for the kitchen we wanted but didn't necessarily NEED, we just built a bar in the basement so included tons of things for that, we added new towels and sheets to upgrade ours, we are transitioning to a "smart home" so we included things like smart bulbs and a nest thermostat, and then after my bridal shower, I added things we wanted for our home that weren't traditional registry type things, just because certain registry sites give you a discount after the wedding, so like our coffee bar cabinet we want and the basement living room coffee table and rug, things like that, that we knew we'd be purchasing but this way we get a slight discount lol
