Looking for a wedding reception for 2021 for 120 people that’s under 2500 in Colorado! Are there any?!

Is that your budget for everything or just venue?

I’d look at places that aren’t traditional venues. A lot of parks let you reserve their shelters and gazebos. Any specific area in CO?
A cake and punch reception will be much easier to stay within your budget.

Is that just for the venue or does that include the cost of food and drinks?

Are you trying to spend that much on the Venue alone? Or including food/drinks? Unfortunately If you’re trying to spend $2500 including food and drinks for 120 people, it may be a little hard.

I am in Colorado too, there are a few places it depends on how flexable you are

the evergreen lake house can do it under 2500 but you would have to have a off season wedding and on a week day , there are a few gardens in Denver you can rent out

All in, that would put you at about $20 per person if this budget is for the whole reception and not just the venue. This may be challenging if that's the case. Places like VFWs, state parks, and neighborhood association clubhouses may be some options. A cake and punch reception at a non-meal time would be your best bet.

For 120 people i don't really know how probable it is to do a full meal but you could do a cake and punch or probably just a social hour after. there are certainly venues you could find cheaper like parks and community halls or if you're a member of a church

Just the venue for $2500 should be doable, but the difficult thing right now is that restrictions are only allowing 50% capacity and no one really knows when that will increase. Our venue can usually have 100 inside, but now we are capped at 50. I’d like to say that will be increased or be gone by 2021 (depending on when), but how comfortable are you cutting your guest list if it’s not? You may want to look for bigger venues just in case, and if you’re set on 2021 you’ll want to secure a venue ASAP because it’s going to be a busy year with all the postponements.
What area are you looking for? CO is a big state and without knowing a general location it’s hard to give specific recommendations. Most of the traditional venues I looked at the venue fee was actually not that much, but using their caterer, day of coordinator, decor, etc really added up. We ended up with a venue/caterer package that our venue fee is only $300, but our catering minimum is $2000, and by the time you add linens, tax, 22% gratuity, etc it’s well over $3000.

I just had my wedding at The Mishawaka up the Poudre Canyon among the River. For a Monday-Thursday in the summer (prime wedding season) my rental was 1000 for the river front outdoor area. I have photos if you’d like. Process will vary for Friday-Sunday. But if you’re ok with Monday-Thursday, it’s a steal for a rustic venue
