Wedding reception

Chelsey, on November 20, 2019 at 1:39 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 7
So I’m trying to make this a fun wedding .

I was for sure going to do a s’mores bar, And I was thinking about adding cotton candy and pop corn also for the evening . Would that be to much junk food ?
Our dinner is going to be Prime ribChickenMashed potatoes Mac & cheese Green beans
Also having wedding cake , cupcakes and cookies
I just didn’t know if everyone would still wanna snack after or not

If people are drinking there's never enough junk food.

In my experience, the more people are drinking the less they want sweets (alcohol has so much sugar already) so I think popcorn is a great alternative. I'm not sure you need cake, cupcakes, cookies, smores & cotton candy are necessary unless it's in mini portions.

I think those are great ideas. My only worry is if that is too much aha. Because my wedding had a candy buffet table and legit I had a ridiculous amount of candy leftover.

That sounds like a lot of sweets to me. I don’t think people will eat all of that.

I would skip extra sweets and go with something salty later in the evening. So cupcakes/wedding cake/cookies and then popcorn and maybe chips and salsa or something like that. I would not want to eat cotton candy or a smore late in the evening especially if i had been drinking at all.

Also, I know smores are super popular but every time i've seen it at a wedding the last few years, there are about 10 people who get excited, and no one else really touches it. They are messy and making them yourself over tiny propane things just isn't super appealing to a lot of the people. Just what I've witnessed and wanted to pass along!
