Make sure you do your wedding what suits you and in your budget; a lot of advice that you get from onliners can come off rude but its their opinion.
I did my wedding different and somewhat kind of informal for many reasons:
1. Destination Wedding
So we would not be wasteful of our money and knew exactly how many people was going to attend we did the following:
We sent out our Save The Dates attached with the RSVP with the Blocked rooms information; We knew exactly our guest count and went off of that and it was perfect. We sent our Formal Invitations to those that RSVP'd.
2. We had 2 Wedding Websites in case one favored one more than another or there was a glitched in the system.

3. Two Wedding Registries-
Amazon and Target.
Guest are going to buy you what they want regardless or go on one of the websites to beat the price. Sometimes guests do not bring anything at all.
4. Gave a lot of detail about the area and discounted tickets and lodging in case Park Vista was not in their price range.
5. We had Fish and Chicken with 3 sides- So they can have an option or get both
6. We put 660.00 in the bar but did not announced open bar- until the guest arrived to the reception- There is a lot of waste in alcohol or abused to it. A lot of guest bought liquor drinks or BYOB anyway- We did not want our guest to get wasted.
7. We did a lot of favors for the guests for traveling
Personalized Candy bars, Bar, Flower seeds and Vegetable seeds, Chap Sticks, Photo Booth, welcome bags for those that checked in at the Blocked room provided, etc.
The wedding was a hit and we even had folks come that we haven't seen in years it was a full house and all the seats was filled at both places. I stressed out from listening to people on here on how not to do this and that also from other people outside the net and everyone is still talking about our wedding.
I want you to do it your way and not your Mom's way, Grandma's way or how your bestfriend did it 5 years ago.
