Wedding planning for two years

No, it’s definitely not too long! There is no “right” amount of time to be engaged - it’s simply whatever works for you. Lots of couples are engaged for 2+ years. It actually makes planning much more fun and less stressful! And I commend you for being responsible with finances, rather than rushing a wedding you can’t afford.

Heck nah! I am kinda in your shoes at the moment. I got engaged in October of 2022 and I just started to tour my venues. We plan to have our wedding in September of 2024. Most venues where I live just opened up their 2024 dates, so we are lucky in trying to find a date. I also am super concerned with finances and want my wedding to be as stress free as I can make it. Being engaged for two years really makes it easier in “checking off the boxes”. We are moving across the country during our wedding planning stages, so we are hoping to get a decent chunk of planning done before we move. Good luck planning your wedding in New York City!

By the time I get married, I will have been engaged for 4.5 years. Having all that time to plan and save was awesome!
