Wedding planner what to do

Chelsey, on January 14, 2020 at 12:10 PM Posted in Planning 0 7

Hey y’all!
So I decided to get a full service wedding planner back in October , I know it early considering my wedding isn’t until October 2021. Anyway I paid the deposit but now I’m rethinking do I really need a full service one ? I literally already have everything booked, the venue, DJ, photography , catering etc. I was maybe rethinking about seeing if I could do the day of but I really don’t want to upset her or make her mad 😩
what should i do?
I was hoping to ask her if I could do partial planning or day of but don’t know what to say 😩
I’m so lost I don’t like upsetting people or making people mad

Do you have a contract with her already? If so you probably are contractly obligated to use her for full wedding planning services.

I agree with this. If you signed a contract, I assume you won't be able to get out of it?

Check your contract and see what it says. If you able to change the service type the planner is offering then you can. If not, you might not be able to. If it's not in the contract that it can be changed there is no shame in asking if she can revise the contract for the services you actually need them for. You never know, they may be willing to revise the contract.

Did she help you book those things? If you hired a full service planner, I would stop doing things on your own and let her help you. That is what you are paying her for.

If you have things already planned, save money and just have her as your day of coordinator. She shouldn't get mad. This is your day and you are hiring her! She needs to accommodate you. Good luck!
