Here's one with Burgundy dresses

My brother's wedding was Beauty and the Beast themed. It was in early April. They used navy and blush as their main colors. There were hints of yellow. The bridesmaids wore navy and the groomsmen wore charcoal suits with navy vests. My brother wore a blush tie to match his wife's dress. It turned out really pretty.

I don’t love the idea of burgundy dresses with yellow flowers. What about bridesmaids in yellow and groomsmen in blue?

I think what you had is perfect!! I think the royal blue for the GM and the burgundy for the BM and then the yellow/gold color for the jr BM is a wonderful idea!! Even if it was too dark, in my opinion, I don't think so, it's your wedding and if it's in summer it doesn't have to match the "summer" colors or anything like that!!! I love love love your theme!!!

To me, yellow isn't a very forgiving color for most people to wear. I would suggest sunflower bouquets for a pop of yellow and to keep it summery. Gold accents will make it look elegant. And roses

Hinting at a theme usually comes across more tasteful than being too literal with it. To me, that's the line between classy and costumey. But everyone has different interpretations; whatever you are excited about should be what you choose!

I am personally loving the yellow bridesmaid dresses! Yellow is definitely a good color for summer and it goes so well with the theme. And it looks great with blue suits. You can have white and red flowers too. You can do your bridesmaids in blue, I think as long as the dresses are short and you add bright flowers it wouldn't be too bad. (I have been to a summer wedding where the girls wore short Navy blue dresses actually.). Here's some inspiration I found... there's so many directions you can take it!!
