Wedding Month

We chose our date because A. Autumn is both our favorite season/weather and B. Our date is our anniversary! We liked the idea of having only 1 anniversary date

We *love* Halloween and autumn in general, so October 1st was a great day to kick off our favorite month. We didn't want it on or near Halloween, though, because we want to keep halloween parties with our friends instead of it being an anniversary day for just us

View Quoted Comment Not at all! Groomsmen were in gray, bridesmaids in dusty blue. The only thing "halloween" or "fall" was we grew pumpkins for centerpieces and served hot apple cider throughout the reception. Personally, I haven't seen a well-executed Halloween themed wedding yet and wanted to steer clear of that 😬

Our wedding is scheduled for October 14, 2023.

It's already our "anniversary" because that's the day we both swiped right on Tinder and met for our first date! It just so happens it's on a Saturday next year so it's perfect to keep the date!

We aren’t going to be doing any typical “Fall wedding photos” though, because we are having a DW in New Orleans, and there really isn’t a lot of foliage in the French Quarter. But the FQ has that gorgeous creepy Halloween-y feel all year 🖤🎃

We knew we wanted an indoor wedding, so weather was never a factor. We decided on a winter wedding because we thought it fit with our vibe and design. Unfortunately we might not get a true winter's day, because we live just south enough that it's unpredictable.

Our anniversary month is April, but the weather is always so unpredictable here in Denver I wanted nice weather for sure I thought may 25....then I asked FH if 2025 was too long he said nope😊 we both admitted we like it 5/25/25💜
