Wedding Invitations?!

FutureMrs.C, on January 30, 2020 at 3:02 PM Posted in Planning 0 14

Hi! How the heck did you guys pick your wedding invitations? I keep finding things that I think look nice, but I'm just not in love with anything. Nothing I find really feels "right", and I just have no clue what the heck would be "right"! Lol anyway, what was your process like?

Have you checked Etsy for your invites. I liked there selection much better than any of the bigger sites and your helping small individual businesses. Very customizable and much much cheaper.

I searched high and low on at least 4 different websites until I found ones I actually liked. Zazzle was the winner for me, I felt like they had way more variety than the other sites I looked at.

I went with Ann's Bridal Bargains. They were decently priced and we got the invite, RSVP card and printed return envelope for the card, the reception to follow card, and the inner and outer envelopes. We got 25% off them so they were only like 0.75 each. I will say they are probably more basic than some of the invites I looked at, but I didn't want to spend much on them. We bought a 125 invites for $113.

I was the same way. I knew I wanted navy invitations because that's one of my main colors and I just really like the look of it. I looked on all the typical websites and found navy ones but nothing that really matched the style of our wedding. The florals on them always included burgundy which looks nice with navy but it's not being used anywhere in our wedding. I saved a few on etsy but wasn't in love with them either. Finally it got down to the wire to order some in time to get them sent out. We sat down one weekend and I said we couldn't go anywhere until we found something! We scoured etsy and finally found the perfect ones. The design was exactly what I had in my head and we were able to customize the color to match the navy blue of my bridesmaids dresses. They turned out so pretty. We ordered them from a shop where they edit and print them for you which saved us so much hassle. Anyways, choosing invitations was one of the most difficult decisions of wedding planning so I totally know how you feel! Don't give up! You'll find the perfect ones!

We worked with our wedding planner kind of customized everything. We liked the font of one invite, the color of another and so on. I loved the way ours turned out. Its not exactly theme related but we do have gold in our decor. But honestly I don't even care haha. I like what I like. I bet you could find an invitation through Etsy and work with a designer to customize something.

I started by color and then I knew I loved the flower style. I made ours on Zazzle.com and they let you customize mostly everything on it.

I found a template online that I liked because it went with my colors so as PpS said maybe narrow down by colors or if that is also overwhelming then nothing is wrong with a classy simple always elegant black and white

I searched numerous sites to find ones I wanted. I wanted laser cut ones which are generally more expensive and I wanted to make sure I got ones for the best price.

These are what we ordered and they turned out great. My only concern was that writing would be hard to read with the swirls but it wasn't at all. I don't have a picture of mine, but they look great. I highly recommend Ann's.

I couldn't decide either. I eventually went with a template I found on etsy and after talking to my mom and FH's mom about what they thought of them. Got them printed last week and I couldn't be more happy! Ended up being 198 for template, paper, and prints for 225 copies. I got everything I needed from my template too. Menu, invite, RSVP card, information and a note I'm leaving my guests.

It helps when you narrow it by color and by style. Do you want flowers, geometric, or a pattern?
