Wedding in August....should i be concerned about having to postpone?

Jennifer, on March 17, 2020 at 4:48 PM Posted in Alabama Planning 0 3
Our wedding is set for August 22, 2020 and I’m doing my best not to worry but sometimes I can’t help it especially since they are now saying this virus could last until July/August. I’m really praying that things I’ve read about the virus not being able to survive in the heat are correct.

Anyone else in this boat??

Hi Jennifer! This is definitely a crazy and scary time, and you're not alone in stressing about these decisions! Here's a discussion where several other summer brides are debating the same thing:

My wedding is 8/22/2020 too. 😔 The bridal shower in is June (will probably cancel), the bachelorette party is destination in July and the Wedding is in August. I haven’t cancelled anything yet.

Our wedding was 9/14/2020 in Scotland. We cancelled because ultimately, no one will be absolutely safe without a vaccine & since one will not be available that soon, it just wasn't even a difficult decision for us to make. We will have our moment when we have no worries. Putting our friends and family at risk is not an option.
