Wedding guests shoe valet

On our website, under FAQ I had a " What the heck is "smart casual"? section

The answer: "Guys, don't pack a suit jacket or tie! The wedding party isn't even wearing tuxes. That being said, nice dress pants and a collared shirt are perfect. Please, absolutely no jeans, cutoffs or shorts.

Gals, put those formal and evening gowns away, this is FLORIDA!! Dress pants and a nice top, or a nice "Sunday best" dress is perfect. Our wedding ceremony will be ON the beach (chairs provided) so plan your footwear accordingly. Out of respect for the bride, please don't wear white."

I did provide a basket with flip flops ( 50 cents close out deal!!!) Out of the 24 pair provided, we had about 12 pair left over that we gave to the wait staff at the venue.

Steal away! Any other beach wedding questions feel free to ask. We had the most picture perfect day. ~sigh~

I might include a note on the website suggesting footwear comfortable on the beach, but nothing beyond that as relates to attire. Guests are presumed to be adults capable of dressing themselves for a wedding according to time, date, and location. I don’t think it’s necessary to provide shoes.

I would just note on your website that the ceremony will be on the beach and please plan footwear accordingly.

Yep, as Andrea and CM have said, just a note on the website indicating that the ceremony will be on the beach should be enough. People generally know how to dress for the formality of the venue.
