Wedding Guest Dress!

Do you have any ideas? i don’t think I’ve ever been to a fall wedding honestly, only spring or summer, winter! Now that I think about it. Do you know what color the bridesmaid dresses are? You can’t go wrong with jewel tones - plum, burgundy, navy, emerald. I think a pattern would be fine! I’m a big fan of floral pattern dresses. Or if you want lighter colors maybe “dusty” colors. Wouldn’t go too bright for a fall wedding.

As long as it's not all solid white, anything is appropriate. Patterns are acceptable as well. I, personally, try to avoid matching the color of the bridesmaids, but that's even still sometimes fine. For October I like fall/dark colors such as maroon, navy, forest green, even black. But you can really do any color.

The couple hasn't told anyone what their colors are, and my FH is a groomsman lol. He doesn't even know what color tie they'll be wearing! So I'm kind of in the dark on this one. Matching the bridesmaids is def. a concern of mine lol. But I was also leaning towards more jewel, dark tones!

I was looking at midi bodycon dresses that are one shouldered, but wasn't sure if that would be more 'cocktail' than semi-formal?

Def. not wearing anything solid white or in that color family! I was also thinking of a darker color as well, but unfortunately the couple hasn't told us what their colors are. Trying to get FH to get that information because he's a groomsman and doesn't even know what color tie or suit they're wearing lol.

The wedding is this October and he doesn't know his attire yet, as a groomsman?! That should probably be taken care of ASAP.

Yeah the couple have been pretty last minute on just about everything lol. We do know that they're using an online service for them and that they're wearing suits, but no other details unless FH just hasn't said anything to me about it!

I went to an October wedding last year and wore solid navy. A lot of other people did, too lol It’s a pretty safe color. Burgundy is also very pretty.

I'd wait to see what your man is wearing, so you can look somewhat cohesive. I'm sure there will be pictures of you two together!

We finally got the information we needed lol. They're wearing dark blue suits and the tie and bridesmaids dresses are Cinnamon, so I'm going to stay away from rust orange or anything in that color family lol.

Thanks for the feedback! We finally got the information for attire this weekend, and the guys will be in dark blue suits with cinnamon ties. I may stay away from navy just so I don't look too matchy with FH, and away from the rust orange/brown color family to not match the wedding colors!

I'm leaning towards deep green now so we'll see!
