Wedding guest attire

My wife is in a wedding next month and I’m curious if others find this dress appropriate for a wedding guest. I think it’s fine, but the boutique keeps advertising it as “perfect for a bridesmaids dress,” so it’s making me doubt myself.


The wedding is on a Saturday evening at a country club. The bridesmaids are wearing blush dresses in the style of their choosing. I’ve attached two photos, I would be wearing the navy, but I wanted to show what it looks like without the bouquet which obviously makes it look even more bridesmaid-like lol.Wedding guest attire 1Wedding guest attire 2

    I really like it! I actually have a similar style of dress that I got from amazon in a sage green and off white color and have worn them to weddings! No one batted an eye, so I think this will be perfectly fine for a wedding guest dress!

    Totally fine. I actually scrolled and saw the dress pics before reading the post and they didn’t come off as a “bridesmaid“ dress to me at all. Maybe because I have a friend who loves wearing dresses in that style all the time. But wow... that might be one of the very few bridesmaid dresses I’ve seen that can actually be worn again.

    I think it looks great. For what it’s worth I have worn dresses specifically sold as bridesmaid dresses to all sorts of formal events. As long as it’s not the wedding colors, I don’t think there’s much that makes them anything other than formal dresses. I’ve considered buying a few Azazie styles I like just to have for fancy occasions 🤣

    That looks completely appropriate for a guest! I feel like this style of dress has become a staple in most girls closets because it is appropriate to wear nearly anywhere!
