Wedding Favors?

Erin, on November 22, 2020 at 11:03 AM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 12
Should I do wedding favors? I know they can get expensive. We are going to be doing a photo booth and everyone will be able to take home the photos from that. I love the photo booth and the last family wedding I went everyone else loved it too! If we do wedding favors then we probably won't do a photo booth. Opinions?

I would definitely do the photo booth instead of the favors. Favors are optional and frequently left behind. If they're not in the budget, I'd skip them. The photos from the photo booth can be considered favors anyway!

Favors are completely optional. Our favors were stemless wine glasses with our names and wedding date on them. I'm not sure how much they were because my husband ordered them. We filled the glasses half way with m&m's in our wedding colors and placed a cake pop on top. My mother-in-law with made the cake pops with the help of my husband's sister and my brother-in-law's wife. The cake pops were individually wrapped. Some type of food is always the best option for a favor. My husband is the one that wanted the wine glasses otherwise I would've been happy with just the cake pops.

Favors aren't necessary and plenty of people leave them behind. I would go with the photo booth.

Favors have fallen out of favor these days because the level of hosting has gone up. Totally ok to skip ‘em, nobody with miss ‘em.

People will love the photo booth! Even if you weren't having one, you could skip the favors -- they are completely optional.

We did little honey jars and everyone took theirs, but I don't think they would've missed them.

It's up to you, favors are not required though. If you're tight on your budget then feel free to skip them

Honestly I would skip favors. Even when they're edible, people leave them behind.

We also had a photo booth and decided to forego favors. Our guests loved the photo booth and no one seemed to notice not having favors.

Favors are optional! Guests won't even notice that you didn't offer favors. If you're doing the photo booth then I think that's plenty!

We are going unoriginal with face masks (because 2020 my friends!Smiley xd ) and a cuddly blanket that says on one corner "To Have and To Hold In Case You Get Cold Love Mary and Chase 12.12.2020"

Our wedding party will have dark emerald green speckled camp mugs for the hot cocoa bar that say McCullough Wedding 12.12.2020 on top of their other gifts.

Skip. Unless it is a commercially prepared food item that I eat, I will pass. These are new to the wedding industry: I went to plenty of weddings in the 70's 80's and 90's and they were not a thing. My first wedding was in the early 90's......not a thing.
