Wedding Favors

Is a pen and thank you card for attending a good wedding favor? It comes as a set. The thank you card expresses how we feel about our guests attending, and the love we have for them. If guests don’t take, more pens for us to keep and we’re okay with that.

The general consensus is to skip favors and put the money towards better food, drinks that guests don’t pay for, a better dj. Some circles prefer edible favors while others don’t even take those and leave them all behind. The reception itself is a thank you to the guests. Guests know that you are honoring them by hosting them properly and inviting them to share in your day. The rest is extra $$ fluff that won’t be missed.

Favors are totally unnecessary. As mentioned, the reception is the thanks for attending. To me, it's a waste of money that I'd put elsewhere.

I appreciate wedding favors and they are done in my circles. While your idea sounds alternative, it does remind me of attending work meetings with complementary hotel supplies.

This type of favor would mostly get left behind. Use your money for other parts of the budget.
