Anyone that is 5’1” tall around 120lbs? What was your wedding dress like? πŸ˜›
I need wedding dresses ideas- i am pretty sure I want long sleeves. I never liked showing my shoulders in public- they look ugly lol.

Should shorter bride wear ball gown or fitted ones? My fiance said wearing ball gown might make me look like 10 y/o.

I would for sure try different silhouettes just to get an idea of what you like and what looks good on you but I think a good go to is the A line

I am 25 and also look extremely young! I also have the same body as you. Finding a dress was pretty difficult! I went with an A-Line dress and let me tell yah! For the first time in my life I felt like a whole women! Being so short it is very rare for me to feel like a true women. A-line hugs your upper body so it shows curves but the bottom of the dress adds length to you!!

I think a A-line style will go right for you. But i would suggest to try on dresses and see what you actual feel comfortable in wearing and what accommodates you. Everyone shape different .

You can have dresses delivered to you from Cocomelody to try on. They have tons of A line dresses if that’s what you’re looking for.

I honestly didn’t know what looked good till I tried different styles on! I loved dresses with lace tops and cap sleeves online but when I tried them on I personally looked short (I’m 5’4”) and old (I was 23). I would try on a bunch of styles to see what really suits your body and you feel confident in. I ended up going with something beaded at the top with a light and airy a-line skirt. Not really what I had pinned on my Pinterest board since we got engaged but it’s what I felt confident in!

I’m built petite too and I’ll be wearing an A-Line cut dress. It’s in Justin Alexander’s Sweetheart line and is super flattering for petite builds! This photo has a tall model wearing it, but I love this cut for my build Wedding dress style ideas 3

I’m on the shorter side, 5’4” and I went with an A-line. I also did the home try-on through cocomelody and ordered a custom dress from there. Here’s the home try-on.

5’0” hereβ€” I noticed that ball gowns made me look like a cupcake. πŸ˜‚ I went with a fit and flare/trumpet dress from Ian Stuart.

Girl, staaaaahp! Your figure looks great! I actually hated my arms and wish I worked them out before my wedding. I was a slacker bride. Lol. But you have plenty of time to work out your arms if you’re worried about them though.

These are my a-line dress rejects:Wedding dress style ideas 6
    And mermaid dress rejects:

I am 4”7, close to 90lbs. My torso and legs are short. Wearing a-line or ballgown was my plan. Wrong. I look shorter in general.
Every dress design slightly gives a different shape of your body. Try every dress. Don’t limit your options. I noticed I look taller with a v-neck and no line on my waist.
    I chose a sheath-mermaid dress.

5'1'' Sadly I did not get to my fighting weight of 120, but Here's the dress I went with. It's a modified A-line, from a redesign of a fit and flare. Front, back, side, close up. I tried sleeves and was "meh" about it, but they really filled in the lace of the straps so it was almost a cap sleeve when done.

I’m 5’ about 125lbs. I chose an A line dress. I tried on a few extra floofy A lines that borderlined ball gowns and they swallowed me up. My body looked awful in mermaid styles, too. Sheaths looked good but i ultimately didn’t want to worry about body weight fluctuations (just in case - was shopping 1 year ahead). Of course, everyone’s body shape is different so I recommend trying on at least one of the different styles!
