Wedding dress help!

Maddie, on May 10, 2021 at 2:55 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 1 14
Tried on dresses for the 1st time this weekend. Completely torn between these 2...I'm trying to have a boho wedding, which I think fits the dress with sleeves more. The only thing that one doesn't have is an open back which is one thing I really wanted. It's so incredibly flattering and elegant

The spaghetti strap one made me feel amazing and it have such a pretty back and shows off the tattoos I want to show off. However my wedding is in February and it looks more beachy than boho.

I think the second one fits you so well and it seems like you like it more, I don’t think it’s too beachy and if its cold you could always add a shawl of some sort. Wedding dress help! 4

This shawl is beautiful! I'm also going to have a head wreath so I can make it a little more boho with accessories. Thanks!

I would go with the second if you care about showing off your tattoos. Also, you said it made you feel beautiful which is really the most important thing. You can always accessorize with more boho-like jewelery and hair accessories which will give you a more cohesive look, if that is what you are going for.

I wouldn't be too concerned with the weather. There are plenty of ways to add layers of clothing or warmth to a space. For example, I have a sleeveless dress that I am wearing at my February wedding and I plan on just having a shawl or wrap at my table. Our ceremony is being held in front of a fireplace so I am not worried about being cold then either. You will also warm up if you are moving about a lot and/or dancing.

I actually like the first one (one with sleeves) more. I feel like the second is a little plain but the first one gives a elegant, sexy vibe.

Both are pretty. Which one did you not want to take off? That will be the one to go with.

I am totally biased towards sleeves, I love the first one!! Ultimately you will be the one wearing it so go with what you don’t want to take off 😍

I think I will ultimately end up trying both on again. But if I'm being honest, I can't stop thinking about the sleeveless one

Then that's the one!! I love the back of the dress, and think Tone's suggestion of pairing it with a shawl or wrap for warmth is perfect!

Definitely go with the one that you keep going back to. You can reinforce the theme with your accessories, but your happiness and confidence will shine best in a dress that you love. I wouldn't settle/pick a dress for the theme - pick the one that makes you feel like the special bride you are.

I like the second one better! To echo other sentiments, you could get a really pretty wrap or shawl to go with your boho theme. You'll also still be able to show off the back, which is clearly your drawing feature.

The second one is my personal fav. I got my dress at the same store & the alterations department there can work with you & add sleeves to any dress! Maybe that could be an option to discuss. I also love the ideas of the wraps/shawls.
