Wedding dress different than what you expected

Hi all!
I just found my wedding dress today and it’s completely different than the type of dress I was originally going for but I fell in love the second I put it on! Originally, I wanted something simple, fitted and light and ended up with a ball gown dress (surprisingly!) Now I’m a little worried that it won’t completely match the theme of our wedding (rustic) but I don’t know if that should be a factor or not lol. What do you guys think? I think that’s absolutely beautiful!! It doesn’t scream ball gown either to me . I love the lace/appliqué touches to it and the finished edge. I think it’ll be beautiful with your theme!

I love your dress!!! It will fit perfectly with your theme I originally wanted lace sleeves and I ended up with strapless, but then added flutter sleeves. Haha

That dress looks fabulous on you! And with all the lace detailing, I think it will go great with your theme! Isn’t it funny how you can be so certain in your mind what kind of dress you want, then end up with the opposite? LOL I did the same thing - I was dead set on a long sleeve black lace ballgown. But, ended up falling in love with a light, sparkly, flowy dress instead 🤦🏼‍♀️

I kind of did the same thing...I always loved mermaids, but convinced myself they wouldn’t look good on me, so I was dead set on getting a ball gown. When I walked into the store I saw the mermaid on the hanger, it was the first thing I saw, and said I have to. So I tried it on, loved it, and ended up with a mermaid!

I have a very similar dress and situation. Always saw myself in a fitted illusion lace dress but fell in love with a sweatheart strapless a-line with lace appliqués. I guess when you know you know! Congrats ❤️❤️

The dress looks gorgeous on you! It will look beautiful with your theme. I also fainted very light and simple and went with an A-line gown. I added cap sleeves because it’s a rustic fall wedding

I think you look stunning in your dress and that your dress will definitely work with what you have planned. I see no problem with blending glamour with rustic charm.

Hi Kristina,
Wow, your dress is gorgeous, l love all the lace, just a stunning dress!
I was sure I wanted to wear a mermaid style dress, but when I started trying them on, I couldn't decide, and ended up calling in love with a fit and flare!
Was thinking this, but got teary when I put on next one!

It's gorgeous! I think it's more a-line than ball gown, though. I thought I was going to get a mermaid dress or a fit-and-flare, but I went with an a-line/ball gown, too!

That’s so pretty. I totally chose a dress I didn’t expect. I thought I wanted fitted mermaid or trumpet With cap sleeves but I ended up with an A line with no sleeves

I wanted a fit and flare - and even bought one. But, I fell in love with an Aline instead and got that! Yes, dress regret is real. lol!
