Wedding Dress confusion

Cassie, on January 22, 2022 at 7:12 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 1 11
Hi guys! I have really been struggling on picking a wedding dress, but I finally picked one over the weekend. I am having dress regrets as I am afraid it doesn’t fit my venue and might be “too much?” I am having a barn wedding but I am trying to make it a little more chic. I loved the dress when I put it on but I am scared that it won’t match and I’ll look silly. I tried on a variety of all lace dresses and they just didn’t feel right to me. I don’t know I’m so lost! It’s also important to mention that I have been diagnosed with OCD and I have been obsessing over finding the perfect dress for months. I even went way over my budget for this one and I’m still having regrets. Please help Wedding Dress confusion 1

It’s gorgeous and looks great on you! I wouldn’t worry about that at all. You can totally pull off a barn-chic wedding. Try asking yourself if one of your friends had the same type of wedding and wore the same dress, is that what you would think?

Now that is one fantastic dress; I was wouldn't trade it for the world! As far as being too extra for your venue, as long as you have other chic elements in your barn-chic, you'll be fine, even memorable.

It looks great! If you wanted to wear a Santa Claus costume on your wedding day you can do so. You call the shots. Just be happy and don’t sweat the small stuff. That dress would look great in an apple orchard, a disco floor, and a barn esp if it’s on you and you’re happy.

Barn weddings can be incredibly elegant and romantic! Just look at these inspo pics! When imagining your dress in this setting, it isn’t “too much” at all! The dress looks beautiful on you. If you feel like it’s The One, listen to your heart and your gut. And stop looking at other dresses once you’ve decided on one!

The only thing the dress needs to match is YOU. The only reason to worry about how a dress suits a venue is if there’s some sort of hazard (think long dragging train on a beach or something where it could catch and snag). Otherwise nothing else matters but how you feel! You’re the bride, your dress can be as dramatic as you like!

I had an all lace wedding dress - and it was a casual backyard wedding! So I think your dress could certainly go with a barn theme 😊

Your dress is gorgeous. It doesn’t have to match your venue. Don’t overthink it.

Address is everything and the fact that you can take off the overskirt makes it perfect for a chic barn affair! I love it.

I think the floral, lace design would fit perfectly with your venue. Especially without the overskirt. Honestly, if you don’t refer to your wedding as a barn wedding, it won’t seem non-chic once final decor and everything is arranged. You can have a formal wedding in a barn and an informal wedding in a hotel. Styling is key.
